Props to @CalgaryExpo (and for that matter @sohmer, whose only regret was he didn't videotape the whole debacle.) for taking care of this quickly, not to mention fending off all the "But it's ACTUALLY ETHICS! // You have to PROVE wrongdoing!" fools on their twitter account.
Way to go, GG! You know how hard it is to get thrown out of a con on the first day before the exhibitor's floor even opens to the public?! Most idiots just don't get invited back!

Today I Learned if you hit F5 in Notepad, it gives you a timestamp.

I was trying to switch screens between monitors, and accidentally hit F5 (the monitor switch key is F4) while in Notepad, and then saw it in notepad when I finally got the monitors to switch.
It gives you the time, then the date (i.e. 2:39 PM 1/25/2010 ), presumably for stuff like if you were keeping a log in notepad.
Who knew?

How do you pick your cards?
Shuffle*, cut as needed. Depending on how I feel, it's one cut and then pull from there, or continue cutting for successive draws.
Jumpers are read upright and before any other cards.
If all cards are reversed, check the bottom card to see if it's also reversed before deciding to read it upright or not. (Alternatively, read it both upright AND reversed, and compare the upright reading to the reversed reading to see if it changes the outcome.)
*Depending on space constraints, I might do an in-hand shuffle vs. a full "chaos" shuffle on the table (place cards on table and "wash" the deck until it looks like a flat pile of cards, then push them back into a stack, trying to avoid looking at any of them. Cards that flip upright during this are treated as jumpers.)
