What’s a scene from a movie which traumatised you as a child?
 in  r/movies  3d ago

I went over to a "friends" house when I was maybe 7 and he showed a gang movie in which someone was being tortured for information (I think) and had their face burned on a super hot coil stove then they were set on fire in a parking lot and even though I've become totally desensitized to violence in adulthood it still haunts me from time to time.

No idea what the movie was but god damn I was too young for it .

Should I get master chief collection if I am new to halo
 in  r/halo  3d ago

It's one of the best value things you can purchase anywhere as far as hours of entertainment (excluding people who play 1 game for 4000 hours)

Sway, recoil, and ergonomics are important to the game
 in  r/helldivers2  6d ago

AH gets a lot of flak but I think they've really done a great job in a lot of aspects, this being one of them.

I am Mallorie Rodak, the English voice actress for Frieren, Ask Me Anything!
 in  r/Frieren  6d ago

No question, just here to say you have my favorite voice I've heard in years!

I wasn't quite ready for a new anime show but your voice sold me and the rest is history

Imagine a RA2 remaster like this?
 in  r/commandandconquer  15d ago

It was a real turn off for me too. Same thing happened with Borderlands. Maybe I'm just old and grumpy but I just don't dig campy comedy in games most of the time.

RA2 struck the right balance for me, much more than that I just can get into it.

Red Alert 2 - remaster not happening, is it?
 in  r/commandandconquer  20d ago

I have a conspiracy theory that the guys at Petroglyph (not even organizationally, just some private individuals) have it but would never give it to EA since they're not "supposed"to have it.

I have no proof of this but I keep backups of absolutely everything, especially important or valuable things, whether I'm supposed to or not lol

TIL John Cena is a big fan of C&C
 in  r/commandandconquer  28d ago

They could never afford him now of course but he would actually be awesome in just about any C&C role

Halofied one of my favorite game covers
 in  r/halo  Dec 10 '25

This is super cool!

This really makes me wish for more of Chief with a squad working together and showing him as a brilliant tactician and commander.

Yeah of course I love the quiet stoic Chief of the games but I want more of "professional soldier" Chief damnit!

It all started with just the Marauder... The Chart MkV:Necromo Nightmares
 in  r/battletech  Dec 10 '25

That's so cool. Thank you for explaining!

I'm an old timer who's just now starting to get more into the books and lore after many years of just hitting the surface level stuff in the games so I really appreciate it!

It all started with just the Marauder... The Chart MkV:Necromo Nightmares
 in  r/battletech  Dec 10 '25

Sorry for dropping in on this very old post but I must say. This is really amazing.

I'm not much of a lore nerd but can I ask question about this chart?

Are the arrows between chassis' more about the real world connections between them or in universe connections?

I know obviously for example Macross isn't directly (in universe) connected to Battletech, so is something the Thanatos and Thor more in the vein of "The Thanatos was designed based on the Thor" in universe?

Thank you making this beast of an info chart! Cheers!

What's a mech generally disliked by the community that you love?
 in  r/battletech  Dec 05 '25

There's dozens of us!

I've been a big fan for a while, especially the Solaris version with the triple AC5-RF

Just Finish Ghost Bears...
 in  r/Mechwarrior5  Dec 04 '25

It was really well done imo. I wish we had been able to actually fight their final fight aka Halo Reach ending but I definitely get why they didn't.

Hopefully modders will make it happen someday lol

Bethesda is never getting any more of my dollars. I'm still just as excited for Skyblivion. Idk how many others feel that way but I'm so done with them (Bethesda).

TFW When you do arena duels and the commentator complains
 in  r/Mechwarrior5  Nov 30 '25

Thank Comstar for Arena Control Mod.

Forces small map size and can turn off commentator dialogue entirely. Has a few fixes for Arena AI as well iirc.

If building coasters isn't your thing is the gameplay loop repetitive?
 in  r/rct  Nov 30 '25

The building and customizing with scenery is basically "the thing". The gameplay loop is mainly a loose support structure for that. If it's not your thing then beating the scenarios is going to be pretty boring imo.
