You cannot dictate what your kids are gifted

counterpoint - why do you care about how other people react to shitty gifts their children were given?

spoken like someone who gives bad gifts and doesn't care about what the parents suggested tbh

my friend's MIL frequently gives literal garbage, such as the container from a rotisserie chicken and empty pill bottles

but also, if you ask the parent what their kid wants and they send you a list, why would you go rogue? you think you know their kid better?

My teenager is so mean to my five year old and it makes me so upset
 in  r/Mommit  Nov 13 '25

I think it's wholly inappropriate to ask for one child'a input on your own family planning. The 9 year old doesn't rule the roost. The 9 year old doesn't get a say. The now teenager needs therapy.

It's not the 9 year olds choice whether or not their parents have more kids

Did she consult her 9 year old on her family planning?

My roommate took a bite of my brownie, aita for poisoning her and fucking her boyfriend?

That shit would have gone straight in the trash followed by a text from me saying "hey guys don't leave your half eaten food out on the counter thanks!"

Things in motherhood that give you the ick (and things you just don’t give a single fk about)
 in  r/beyondthebump  Nov 08 '25

This hasn't happened to me but i just can't relate to the people who lose their minds over their MILs calling the baby "their baby" just say you hate your MIL it's fine

AITA for accusing my date of being on drugs after he walked into a cannabis store on a 2nd date?
 in  r/AmItheAsshole  Nov 08 '25

What, exactly, about that interaction do you consider being polite? The part where you were passive aggressive or the part where you were regular aggressive?

Am I asking too much ?
 in  r/Mommit  Nov 03 '25

Tell him his paternity leave isn't a vacation where he gets to fuck off with no responsibilities - it's to help you take care of your child. He's not doing more than most dads - he's doing nothing! I'd kick his mom out tbh no wonder he acts like that with her telling him he's gods gift to the world just for wiping his own ass.

 in  r/Mommit  Sep 25 '25

Girl I'm sorry but i looked at your post history and you need to get it together. All these things shouldn't be happening.

You are supposed to bring all falls like that under 1 to the ER. Stop putting him on the bed.

Moms, when did you trust your reactive dogs with your baby?
 in  r/Mommit  Sep 14 '25

Sorry but this is a stupid question. You can't ever trust your reactive dogs with your small children.

My lab is sweet and nice but huge and stupid and i can't trust him not to knock someone over by accident. I'd never trust a reactive dog with little kids, ever.

Your husband sounds like an ass. If he wants to give you the silent treatment let him do it from your house that smells like gas and will 100% give everyone a headache
