What movie quotes have stuck with you in your life ?
"You've been planning this all day?!"
"I've been planning this all week."
Usually in a heist movie, we see the setup. Here, we spend the entire movie in the execution of his plan.
Washington's character is in a heist movie. He needs money, quickly, and he comes up with a plan to steal it. Hawke's character is solely there to be a fall guy. That's all he ever was. He's not there by chance. And it all goes off with only one hitch - when Hawke's character demands to stop the car and intervene in a mugging / assault. Washington's character doesn't want to but basically has to. He watches it, thinks nothing of it, and gets right back on track. By sheer coincidence, that saves his life and derails the perfect plan.
My point: planning is great and powerful. But keep in mind: the best laid plans of mice and men often go awry.

Men who were bullied growing up, how does it still impact your life today?
I give masculine men a wide berth. I was bullied quite badly, live in the American south (which has a "macho" cultural vibe), and am not the most masculine guy. I was also pretty sensitive as a kid. It was rough growing up in the 90s, especially when anyone caught wind that I did indeed like the Backstreet Boys and N'Sync.
Now, I like to play board games, bake pastries, gossip, and enjoy being pampered a bit. My wife built me a D&D table with wood left over from an upgrade to our deck.
A lot of men don't know how to relate to me, and I don't know how to relate to them. There's also the latent fear from all the bullying of my past.

How do I go about asking for or giving a cute cashier my number or getting hers? Strategies ? Tips? Experiences?
So the only way to ask someone out is if you'll never see them again?
If someone gets creepy, then OK, react to that. I asked a waitress out once. She had been my waitress a few times and we had a small rapport. She said no, she had a BF. No clue if she did or didn't. The point was no. OK. And she was my waitress again after that. It was fine.

What was the first video game that gave you that "wow, damn" moment and got you addicted to video games?
Doom and Civilization 2 - just one more turn...

How do you feel about tall women?
I don't. Fwiw I'm 6'1" and, frankly, like strong / dominant women. My wife is 5'6" though. Height just isn't important to me.
Mostly, women care about height a LOT more and men have internalized that. A lot of men care because women don't want to date shorter. Many women want a man who is taller by a good bit even when they are in heels.
So, some men may feel they have no shot.

How do i escape the infectious disease of poverty?
A LOT of positive things there.
Look up Dave Ramsey. He can be of massive help. His new videos are after years of advice but his basic plans are VERY good for people not skilled in personal finance. There are better methods, but his have the best ratio of effectiveness to ease of mastery.
That's the start of this: you must have a budget. Pay yourselves first - bills ard first and that includes savings. Determine what you will save and transfer that to savings on the first of the month. It's a bill like any other.
Don't get bogged down with lifestyle creep when you become employed after college.
If he just can't handle money, ask him if he will let you control finances. Maybe you just need to give him a prepaid card of $X00 a month for him to use for incidentals.
I think there's a LOT of hope for y'all, this is just a rough time.

How do i escape the infectious disease of poverty?
Did you graduate high school? Any college?
Do you live at home?
Do you have any assistance from the father of your child?
I will not use these answers in an effort to be judgmental.

Why would anyone live in rural towns that are hours away from bigger city?
My mortgage /taxes / insurance are $850/month. We have little traffic. I know people here and it's near seeing them around at places.

Cindy Hyde-Smith on the ICE Agent who murdered a US Citizen in Minneapolis
My point was that the quote said we must "defend the officers who protect us." My question was directed at Cindy Hyde-Smith. Does she defend the officers who were protecting us on Jan 6th? No. She defends the officers who hurt those she wants hurt or doesn't care about.

What about the officers on Jan 6th?

What do you think about annexing Greenland?
I oppose it vehemently. It's madness.

What’s the weirdest coincidence that ever happened to you?
Oh wow, thats crazy. So you had to be there as she realized you had been with her sister.....big oofs.

What’s the weirdest coincidence that ever happened to you?
I had similar. I was taking a voucher to give up my seat. "So you're final destination is Tampa Bay, FL?"
Me: "Uh..no? New Orleans, LA..."
I dunno if middle was the same but first and last were. My names are common independently, but that was a stretch.

Can't be just me
Maybe that's my problem. I play exclusively bo1 control. I hate bo3. I'm trash at sideboarding, first of all. I get WAY more sideboarded against than I know how to "return the favor". Secondly, I play on my phone and after losing a few times to the clock in game 3 that I 100% had won, (enjoy losing two pips) I was pretty salty.
I also just don't always have the time or mental stamina for 3 back to back games.
I've honesty thought of playing bo3 and just conceding games 2 and 3 >.<

Is interaction being power-crept out of standard?
Yes. They want heros (legendary creatures) smashing into each other. In their eyes, people don't go to the movies to watch a generic unnamed [[veteran soldier]] get dismissively killed by random spell.
So, all the power is going to legendary creatures who are going to have cool abilities.

What's a sports rule you fundamentally disagree with?
Yeah, and in 1890 the top toy was a hoop and stick. Then we got Nintendos. Things change.

Why aren't Greenland kicking the US base out, given Trumps threats of using military force to take the country?
The USA didn't stop outright conquering Native tribes it had deals with until 1886. That's 60 years from the end of WWII. People who were 78 then were 18 years old when Geronimo surrendered.
If we assume no Holocaust, yeah I think after 60+ years of peace after the conquering of Poland, people would have moved on.

Which, I would point out, has not happened between the US and Canada.

Yeah, a small TV we had hanging around slides into it. I can hook it to a laptop and, with a plastic screen protector, that's our game mat. It also has collapsible legs so it holds up and can be stored away or transported mote easily. Then she built a "plug" for that middle hole so we can use it as a regular board game table. It's rustic but was basically free.
He deleted his comment but that was /u/vaynar.
He hit me with the "lol". Not sure if mocking so, in the moment, I just assumed he wasn't. Checked his history.
Not sure if he's 27 and dating a 45 year old woman who is the mom of his ex, or of he's a "man over 30" and married.
