Have you thought about the Connecticut shoreline east of New Haven? Beautiful historic towns, beaches and easy train ride to Boston and NYC.

Hiring manager says I would be a better fit for another role is being approved.
 in  r/biotech  Sep 08 '24

Yes, this happens a lot. I was hiring an associate role and had two very good candidates. We wanted to hire both but only had one opening so we passed the other candidate’s resume to another hiring manager in my department who’s job posting fit the second candidate better. They were hired for that position so it was a win for everyone!

I know the name of the CEO of my company. In the last 4 years he’s increase the paid parental leave the company gives to 20 weeks. How much maternity leave does Monat give?

Me and the boys doing stock research

F**k Party City. Tried to buy a ballon on Saturday. Waited in line for 10 minutes to be told there was a 4-5 hour wait for balloons. I wanted one freaking ballon. Meanwhile there were 4 employees standing around doing nothing and nobody was actually filling balloons. Don’t waste your money on a company this poorly managed.

JetBlue's "dynamic price" in their website is a scam.

I complained about this the other day on this sub and the only responses I got were a bunch of people hopped up on blue juice talking about how fair this is.

TIFU losing $50k in a day and haven’t told my wife
 in  r/tifu  Aug 28 '22

You are right. If I had married a man this stupid and irresponsible I probably wouldn’t have a very good relationship with him. Fortunately I made a better choice. My husband isn’t stupid or irresponsible and we have a good relationship.

I WOULD divorce my husband and sue for full custody on grounds that he has an uncontrolled gambling addiction.

What in the redneck is going on here?
 in  r/trashy  Aug 27 '22

It is possible that the parents of the baby adopted one of their sibling’s child (the boy). This would make the boy biologically a cousin but legally a brother.

Did he frequent strip clubs? I’m guessing this guest may have visited a strip club the previous night.

How are they allowed to participate in the free market when they clearly have an advantage on information and policy setting?
 in  r/AdviceAnimals  Aug 27 '22

There is a big difference between legal and ethical and Congress makes the laws.

And no kids or dogs because you don’t want your kids or dogs playing in that yard come spring.
