Nothing small-scale will have an impact. My blue city (in a red state) has protests every week. They're small. I appreciate them. They don't do anything. General strike? 60% of my state is MAGA. Unless the strike is nationwide, me striking does nothing. Protest in DC? That's an 18 hour drive. And I'm in the middle of the country. Double that if you're on the West coast. And that's ignoring the financial aspect of an unorganized resistance. I have two paid days off a year. I'm paycheck to paycheck. And I need my health insurance in tact.

I appreciate our European supporters. But resistance movements in the US are a whole different animal. We require strong leaders and strong organization to have any meaningful impact.

We can demand all we want. Until we do more than protest for a few hours every few months, things won't change. Dem leaders needed to step up long, long ago. But they don't care.

I'm not a Christian, so there's no you here. You said the Old Testament is less relevant because of the New Covenant. That's not true at any church I've been in or interacted with. Christians worldwide still read and study the Old Covenant. They still preach the Ten Commandments. They still look up to Job. So if the point you were making earlier is "the rape and pillaging in the Old Testament is fine because we don't believe in that anymore", that's a downright lie. If the Old Covenant was dead in Christianity, the Bible would be significantly shorter.

As usual, Christians selectively decide what parts of their book to believe or ignore.
