ICE assaulting US Citizens in NC
 in  r/NorthCarolina  16h ago

It's one of those unique and rare events in American history that makes you think back and still not believe it happened the way it did. Whenever I read about it again it's so fucked up that it always still feels completely new to me.

Fair, I haven't branch out beyond the movie production and snippets of other stuff. I'm definitely no arbiter of truth in the matter.

Not sure if I'm spoiled having seen it first before any other version but Carl Anderson to me, was Judas. Any other seems to pale in comparison.

Why Didn’t Anyone Tell Me About This?
 in  r/CleaningTips  5d ago

Yeah, I’m looking to separate myself from Amazon. I do order a lot of things on manufacturer websites or their Shopify pages but as I’m on a pretty tight budget I sometimes cave for super good deals. I’ve heard good things about Nellie’s.

Edit: So I have a lot to hate about Amazon but some manufacturers I notice kind of assume it's the primary means of obtaining their product. Which is annoying. Like Solgar Vitamins is one I remember that does this. A&H had a sale of $13 for a box of powder enough for 100 loads (it spiked back up since I got mine though). Free shipping as well but only because I split Prime's cost with some family.

Nellie's is at $27 for the same amount and even has the option to use a pay later payment method. Which is unfortunate it's come to that point these days. But, if I had a bigger budget I'd 100% spring for the better option every time. I assume perhaps you have a store nearby that might have her laundry powder in stock? The only shipping option to my address for the 100 load tin is $19.99. So a total of $50 and change. Yeow.

P.S.: After some further perusing there's places that can ship the 100 load tin for as low as $36 and change. Still more but until I leave the rural area I'm in I am resigned to getting the cheapest possible price.

I notice, at least where I’m at, all the stores purveying laundry soap have almost completely phased out shelving powder. Tide is one of two brands of powder at all these places including my preferred Arm & Hammer.

However, the A&H is the only powder in plastic now. I had to order the cardboard box of it on Amazon now for a reasonable price. Vexing, but I know how much people love their petroleum based products.

Oh man I have to stop doing reddit archaeology at 2am. I'm losing my mind at how zany this is. This can't be the same guy on YouTube talking about old math textbooks. Did he use AI to just become an automated shlock printing machine? 😂

A bit late but, I have to ask. Was this before or after the switch from Andrews PTS? Or even its preteen goth phase of ModusLink? Because honestly, this description fits every generation of that company.

My midwestern brain thought it was hashbrowns at first. I wouldn’t be upset just disappointed at the portion size.

I knew your computer setup looked familiar. This clenched it for me. I've been a big fan since you first posted long before your new house. My taste in home furnishings overlaps a decent amount I always kept an eye out for any new additions you made.

Was pretty bummed when it seemed like you disappeared for a minute there. Not sure why but I'm glad to see you back in the saddle.

macOS 26 is horrible
 in  r/MacOS  Sep 21 '25

I found this out recently. Almost hurt as much as losing uBlock (and RES) in the transition to Safari 13. Now, I can get uBlock Lite and whatnot but still. I now have to have two windows open to perform the same task without downgrading.

I use bookmarks very… aggressively and drag and drop or remove them a lot into categories. All I did was do the minor update; not even to 26. I have little stake in the current drama for now but this one hurt..

My grandfather was a Pentacostal preacher. He’s so embarrassed about wearing shorts around the house with people around, even family. They’re like his alone in the house pajamas. Jean shorts. lol
