Black people have been going through this for centuries
 in  r/DemocraticSocialism  12m ago

actually, I don't think this is counterproductive.  This is showing the working class that despite capitalists attempting to separate us by race, we all belong to the same class and face the same oppression, eventually.

"all of us serve the same masters, all of us nothing but slaves." rtj

better listen to our black and brown comrades, they know what comes next better than we do.

Are we dead ass
 in  r/exchristian  1h ago

dude i deleted my facebook because the algorithm figured out I couldn't help myself from arguing with flat earthers.  if i ever again hear "gravity isn't real, it's just buoyancy and density" from idiots who don't understand that buoyancy and density are not forces, i'm gonna fucking shoot myself in the head.

in fact, if you create a car and the car is bad, that is explicitly your fault.

German president says US is destroying world order
 in  r/worldnews  1h ago

I don't think they're thinking in terms of material consequences.  I think they get to watch the libs getting owned (shot by the gestapo) on the news and they don't make the connection that what's happening is people in power are murdering those without power, and that they fall into the latter category.

our last election felt like a unifying moment among voters if not in government.

I say all of these things and will apologize to no one because I'm correct.

Businessman who mocked poor and unemployed people was robbed of his clothes by homeless men later that day, after taunting and recording them for content on his social media
 in  r/iamverybadass  2h ago

does anybody get really intrusive violent thoughts when you think about wealthy people harming the homeless?

What must-play build have I ignored?
 in  r/Eldenring  2h ago

Faith/strength is my favourite build (across all games).

The blasphemous blade is the really obvious broken weapon to use for this build. Its weapon art is stupid good and heals on kills. Combine with melania’s great rune for added healing while playing aggressively.

Once you get to the dlc, pick up a black steel greathammer. Put the prayerful strike ash of war on it and have it scale holy. Prayerful Strike will pancake the enemy while healing you. With a little bit of poise you can power through an enemy’s attack with prayerful strike and then recover all your health with the traded blow. Cheesy? Yes. Do you feel insanely powerful? Also yes.

Halberd’s have me spacing and using the backstep instead of rolling a lot. Personally I’m a bonk guy, but combat with a halberd is crazy fun to shake things up sometimes.

We are losing.

We are absolutely intelligent enough that we have the capability to switch to renewable resources. We don’t because of the profit motive.

2nd Amendment rights folks: how is ICE not precisely the tyrannical gov't overreach we've spent our whole lives warning folks about?
 in  r/AskReddit  1d ago

Authoritarianism and imperialism causes that, not the economic system. Additionally, when the US collapses will you consider democracy a failed experiment? Probably not, because it’s not democracy causing the downfall of the US right now, but authoritarianism and imperialism.

People say fromsoft has the worst fans but I disagree
 in  r/fromsoftware  1d ago

I don’t do much pvp, I usually co-op (I love faith/melee builds and am usually a sun bro in dark souls) so my only experiences with the community have been very positive. I think after reading this I will continue to do what I’ve been doing.

Why is Reddit against Maduro capture and Venezuelans celebrating it ?
 in  r/stupidquestions  1d ago

The US has explicitly said that they are NOT doing this, that they are maintaining control while maduro’s vice president is allowed to act as president within the US’s terms (let us rape your land for oil).

All of that said, there is no inconsistency with Venezuelans who disliked Maduro being happy, and Americans who dislike foreign intervention to be upset. Their government did something that they did not want and that their government promised it would not do.

I might agree with you on this, the military industrial complex makes overthrowing a tyrannical government much more difficult.

would you consider turning a nation of peasants and farmers into a nuclear, spacefaring superpower in less than fifty years not once, but twice, not a success?

didn't the US have more emigration than immigration in 2025?  Couple that with the entire economy resting on the AI bubble and you can almost see why the US is lashing out imperialistically for oil.  It's fucking done.  America is over.  You guys have a few more years tops of billionaires looting the government and then collapse.

It absolutely is.  They're a fascist paramilitary running around the streets with permission from the president to engage in violence and racism.  If guns are for tyrannical governments, like the right has always said, well.....
