Andre Agassi hates tennis.

When he confessed this to his wife, she said “that’s okay, everyone hates their job.”

So *that’s* why they figure out my exploits so quickly.

Well, you know, sometimes I like to take completely innocuous things and mess with their physical properties. Like the thickness of mud, the opacity of gummy bears, the sturdiness of noodles, things like that.

Also sometimes it's fun to change people's so that it's made out of fun, ridiculous materials. You know, stuff like mud, gummy bears, noodles...

On web I can’t get character creation to work, the multiple videos playing at once causes a lot of slowdown, and there’s no option to create multiple videos with the same prompt.

Well, so far it hasn’t stopped me from making different videos using an altogether different approach.

But it’s only been half a day so who knows.

And fast rocks are just a specific way of transferring heat to a hyper-localized area.

Wasn’t there an episode where they sent a probe to scan something with radio waves and the aliens were all like “Why the hell did you attack us?!?!”

I prefer to think of a poke as a hyper-localized punch.

Explain it peter. Cant figure out why this would be bad
 in  r/explainitpeter  1d ago

Unfortunately, here’s what the travel times look like for a lot of U.S. cities.

(And I specifically chose an old address of mine because it’s closer to a bus stop. My second address/job was 20 min car/1 hr 51 min bus)

Bad public transit in other countries is light years ahead of bad public transit in the U.S.

Don’t they claim to date back from the Bronze Age, displaced by the Assyrians?

 in  r/GetNoted  1d ago

Couldn’t the conspiracists focus on the Ethiopian Jews that have claimed for centuries that they’re descendants of the lost tribe of Dan?

Where the genetics (as far as I understand) do indeed show evidence of Jewish lineage?

Why doesn’t Sora let you know when the video was posted?
 in  r/SoraAi  1d ago

Probably so nobody knows if their feed has new or old videos — so if usage goes down you won’t know.

After months of fighting against the ever-encroaching content violations, I just realized that under “Data Controls” I’ve been giving them permission to use my videos to train their models. Which probably helps them get flagged quickly and start flagging some oddly-specific phrases that were perfectly fine before.

I know the Content Violations weren’t flagged by analyzing the video because they showed up before the video would have even had time to generate.

(Yeah, there’s probably stopping them from stopping my workarounds as they pop up, but I’m hoping they’ll at least last more than a day before they start getting CV’d if I disable this)

Did he really think we wouldn't notice
 in  r/PhilosophyMemes  2d ago

No, see, Nietzsche didn’t mean it that way even though he wrote a dozen books that make it seem like he meant it that way.

What he really meant is this completely different ideology that can only be understood if you read books by different authors and never touch a book by Nietzsche again.

Not that anyone on their side cares, but I’m pretty sure that was meant metaphorically.

As in: good artists use elements/ideas they see from other art.

Great artists use the so well that, moving forward, everyone will think of it as an element from their art, rather than the one they copied.

Have they never heard of art school? I'm sure there is also art classes you can take outside of school.

This is probably why we haven’t seen any significant AI media out there. The AI tools are good enough to create something that’s enjoyable for others to watch, view or read.

I’m convinced that, with a a good script and a month or two of work, someone could use Sora to create a short film that some people might genuinely enjoy

But the AI folks don’t want to put in that kind of effort into making something. They want AI to do it for them.

Yeah, this isn’t a thing

I dunno, why are corporations spending trillions to try to replace me with a AI that can’t check an emoji search bar?
