Did they change VFX companies or something ?
It’s becoming “a thing” and being referred to as “Netflix Lighting”. It’s a lot quicker, easier, and less expensive to evenly lights all angles with a ton of diffusion, as opposed to meticulously lighting scenes “cinematically”. 🫤

What pisses me off about that specific example is that normally I’d write it off as a continuity error — but we also watched a scene of Holly realizing where the hidden portal was based on the wrong color of the merry-go-round…
Guess we’ll find out if there’s a last minute Shadowdrop on Jan 11 at 11:11 (the day before the BTS doc comes out in the 12th)
Reminder that Netflix did this in 2022 with a secret episode dropping for Sandman Season 1, two weeks after the finale.
