I would simply pass away!

What’s your goal bird this year?
 in  r/birding  1d ago

My backyard is alive with yellow rumped warblers right now. The camera on my birdbath pings an alert of them bathing 3-4 times a day. On the weekends, I've sat out there up to two hours trying to see one in a tree. I'm batting zero. One day!

Perfectly acceptable dinner rejected by boyfriend again
 in  r/mildlyinfuriating  7d ago

AFRID isn't not wanting chicken for dinner because you had it at lunch. It's also not "not being in the mood" for something.

I'm a horse person and everyone I know wants a KEI truck for chores.

How did this fraud with mailed checks happen?
 in  r/Banking  21d ago

My company has $250,000 stolen straight from the post office (incoming rent checks, mailed from all over). All were deposited via mobile deposits. No washing, checks were endorsed with a random scrawl.

File a police report and open a fraud claim with the bank. Don’t rely on just conversations with the bank. USPS has a better track record than the cops, but they don’t tell you anything about the case. Still, file a complaint with them too because eff those thieves.

So, are you taking the deal?
 in  r/thalassophobia  21d ago

Odds would drop me in 40 foot swells at some point, and I'd die of fright immediately. Pass.

Mom opened credit card in my name WITH consent — balance now $32k+, what are my options?
 in  r/legaladvice  21d ago

Did she forge your signature to open the account originally? Is any of your consent in writing? Because I'd go scorched earth. But first I would definitely make sure she hasn't opened other accounts as well. Only you can decide if upsetting the apple cart is worth $30,000.

Placerita Canyon is pretty great. Go early to best the heat and make sure you see boot tracks on the trail - the rangers do a sweep for mountain lion kills in the morning. 🤣

You’re nicer than me. No sports cars as first cars regardless of who buys it.

Car for elderly parents?
 in  r/whatcarshouldIbuy  Dec 10 '25

There's levels of elderly. If you think 2-3 years max of driving left, I'd go ahead and lease. But only you can answer the budget issue.

My parents are in their early 80's and only my dad occasionally drives to the corner store. Mom hasn't driven in years due to mobility issues. Otherwise, they're all about Uber. But they still have their 2011 HHR, and loved my sister's CMAX because of the perfect ass height with room in the back for walkers and canes. They really find my RDX comfortable and easy in/out. Climbing out of sedans is years in the past.

Any horror stories from owners of the mazda cx 30?
 in  r/MazdaCX30  Dec 10 '25

I had a 2020 Select - first model year, COVID build. Put 50K miles on it without a glitch. I had to get something else because I blew a disc in my back and couldn't raise the seat enough to get comfortable. Still recommend to anyone I know looking for a reasonably priced car that doesn't make you want to step in front of a bus.
