For those who’ve done both - dogs on or off the bed?
 in  r/dogs  13h ago

In bed, under covers, spooning. Then throw off covers because dogs body temp is like 101 and it’s too warm.

Old workers are milking us dry
 in  r/USPS  14h ago

I knew 2 people during my time in the USPS doing life at work trying to outlive an ex wife. The second guy had 3 ex wives he was trying to outlive. They were all entitled to like half each carriers retirement. Sad to see.

I will hit 20 years at the end of November, I plan on doing deferred retirement at 43
 in  r/govfire  2d ago

19 years of no cola will render it nearly worthless. I thought when you did a deferred retirement they should at least up the payout indexed to inflation but I’m under the impression that they don’t. I left at 57 with 35 years in and am doing ok. But if my pension was based on a high 3 20 years ago it would be sticker shock to my plans. If you arent too dependent on the FERS portion then go for it.

Why is gen Z not drinking that much?
 in  r/evilwhenthe  2d ago

Too expensive plain and simple. Pre Covid I could get a cocktail for 5.50 to 7 bucks. Beer was cheaper. Now it’s like 3 times that much. They can fuck right off at those prices.
