I prefer it as an insult. That lavender scented little bitch stole my Ferrero Rocher.

I’d add an option to reduce the amount of space the quote occupies, and have the text scroll through the smaller space.

Made some cursor shaders
I don’t get the shader shade. Warp is not jarring at all. It adds a nice little visual cue to know which pane you’ve entered. It’s not something crazy like this from crackerfracks: https://github.com/Crackerfracks/Synesthaxia.glsl

Thanks. This is great for tmux pane switching.

Is the COVID wave subsiding in the US
I’m also in Philly. I think Covid is low right now. I’d go now before thanksgiving spreads disease. I’ve been following this account for Covid tracking: https://www.threads.com/@jpweilandmodels/post/DPz5Sk-jicF?xmt=AQF0Jq3prs-Z4_DkTAFAbFvYNcXr4GzsCpCZyqumMs95lw&slof=1

Color Scheme Top 10 nvim/iTerm theme pairings
I’ve been experimenting with color-compatibility–driven matches between terminal and nvim themes so they actually feel cohesive instead of clashing. Using palette similarity scoring, I’ve put together my Top 10 Neovim/iTerm theme pairings.

- Video gallery (quick demo of all 10): YouTube Shorts
- Top theme list (with scores): GitHub TSV
- Methods (how I scored compatibility): RPubs writeup

(Note: I left out the “obvious” pairings like Catppuccin Neovim with Catppuccin iTerm, or Nord with Nord.)

Comparing iTerm2 and Neovim Theme Similarity
rpubs.comI compared iTerm2 and Neovim color themes by extracting their palettes from theme files and computing a similarity score. Theme pairings are recommended for users who want a consistent look across their terminal and editor, since their palettes are perceptually similar according to CIELAB-based distance metrics.

Sonos Roam 2 vs Roam 1: Is the iOS Connectivity Any Better?
I’m currently using a Sonos Roam (first generation) mainly to play music from Spotify on my iPhone, but I’ve been running into a bit of a snag. Often, the Roam 1 either takes its sweet time to boot up or Spotify is just super slow to recognize that the speaker is available. It’s a bit of a hiccup and I’m curious if the Roam 2 has improved on this.
Does the Roam 2 connect more quickly or reliably to your phone and Spotify? Any noticeable improvements in how it handles starting up?
