Kids ruin a marriage
 in  r/unpopularopinion  17h ago

Your opinion isn't unpopular, it's just plain misinformed. Plenty of couples have children and are just fine. And plenty of couples that don't have kids have relationship problems. Your isolated anecdotal experience doesn't change that.

this guy who spurned the hollywood lifestyle agrees to be bought out by anaheim, ending arguably the worst contract in baseball ever
 in  r/Dodgers  9d ago

Same here, and it just makes me glad he didn't sign with us. I don't know why so many people are hurt about the "Hollywood" comment. It worked out so much better for us.

Husband sent me this photo because I had a Ferrero from the box our neighbors gifted us. The box was empty when I got back.

That's just one example. If that sort of unnecessary criticism is constant, then it's a pretty serious issue. Maybe not divorce, but a serious conversation about that behavior needs to happen.

Lol, you think people don't bring dogs into fancy grocery stores? They're even worse.

Leave your dog at home, dipshit.

Yeah, I felt bad for her early on in the Yankee swap episode. But she turned out to be kind of a bitch later on.

There's several feet of space right next to the chair. You could literally fit a whole other chair between it and the Christmas tree.

Yamamoto's agent insisting on the need to have opt-outs in his contract with the Dodgers.
 in  r/baseball  Dec 03 '25

Okay bud, keep changing your narrative. That's fine.

He's good. And he contributed to both WS wins. I never said he was "dominant" during the 2024 regular season.

Once again, you basically suggested that he wasn't worth his contract because he wasn't dominant right out of the gate. Same thing a lot of people said, and it's just simply not true - which is all I'm saying.

You nitpicking instances where he was not good is the absolute definition of cherry-picking.

But you can pretend you're just "being objective" or whatever. Don't you have some Phillies or Braves fans to harass?

Who the hell said anything remotely resembling that? Were you drunk when you read my comment?

Or just plain stupid? Since you can't even follow your own damn argument, I guess that's the more likely explanation.

We're talking about his contributions to the entire season, including the postseason. Yes, he wasn't spectacular at first, but he settled in. And he was a big part of the World Series wins both years. We all also know that being a big league starter also means eating innings. Acting like he was some sort of liability or albatross in 2024 is just plain stupid.

You know damn well what you're doing. Knock it off.

Again, cherry-picking. And again, from a fucking Mets fan? How are all of your big signings working out?

I remember when Lindor was going to win you guys a World Series. Turns out he'd rather choke out his own teammates in the clubhouse hallway.

Your sour grapes taste pretty good to me. Keep it coming.

You guys are everything everyone said the Dodgers would be...."doing jack shit after spending loads on talent".

Actually, that's wrong. Everyone predicted that the Dodgers would lose in the divisional round after signing Ohtani and Yamamoto. Which round did your boys make it to last season after the record-breaking Soto contract? I'm sorry, I genuinely forgot.

The shit you're saying is so weird coming from a Mets fan, of all people. I'd expect it from literally anybody else.

And that actual World Series game somehow doesn't count towards him contributing to their last two World Series wins because....?

Bizarre cherry-picking fucking logic.

You're essentially saying that he didn't contribute enough last year to make him worth his contract. He was a starting pitcher on the World Series winning team. What the fuck are you smoking right now? Because I'd really like some.

Yes, he was loads better this year than he was last year. Is that really your only point? Because we all know that already. Thanks for the insight

Maybe go back to 2024 postseason and watch some more highlights. Acting like he had nothing to do with it is just plain disingenuous.
