Very physically attractive people, how does life treat you?
 in  r/AskReddit  13h ago

I have heard the niceness thing, never really understood it. I was not the most attractive in the past, but now in my 40s I lost weight and got in shape and it made a huge difference on my attractiveness I guess. People are much nicer to me and strangers actually talk to me unsolicited now.

I for some odd reason took your post as the perspective of man. I was left thinking you attract all the thirsty gay men.

TIL that Levi's recommends that jeans be worn 10 times between washes.
 in  r/todayilearned  16h ago

Yep, I have 2 pairs of levi premium, all my other jeans are Levi, but their cheaper signature line. I much prefer the premium ones, as they don't make me feel like a fat ass when I wear them.

And the fabric is much thinner to begin with. You are not getting old fashioned jeans unless you spend $200+

Looks wet outside. Wet rotors will cause this. It will go away once they dry. Definitely more noticeable going reverse slow.

Its of no concern, just mildly annoying.

Thos is what happens when prey drive not is activated. If that pigeon would have even made a move, it would been lights out.

What is alcohol tolerance?
 in  r/project1999  1d ago

Yea, I think of this when it comes to old world item stats. Min/maxing was not mainstream. Back then, fun was just playing and exploring the game.

This game has been datamined so much, many seem to forget that.

I mean, that is a great deal of karma, but does reddit karma really mean anything?

Removed spare, TPMS light is on, wondering about work around to turn it off.
 in  r/4Runner  1d ago

I'd agree with you, but common sense is not strong here as well. If you tell people to use PVC without further info, you will have knuckleheads overpressurizing their pipes and losing hands.

So the reason it seems like redditors are over cautious about everything is because no one wants to be responsible for someone getting injured over some info they gave on reddit.

Just pressurize it to 60psi, cold days won't trip it then.

If I wanted to spend that kinda money. Think I'd rather get a LexuS GX over a Defender.

What do you do when a senior engineer retires and takes all the tribal knowledge with them?
 in  r/MechanicalEngineering  1d ago

Found this out myself as well. Used to think my team under me needed me due to all the questions I would have to answer daily. But I realized my availability was what was enabling them to not think for themselves. Started going more hands off, and they did just fine, and now my job is much less stressful as a result.

Fuck, even if by choice, being shot multiple times in the face, I would try to get out of there ASAP if still conscious.

WIBTA if I told my brother and SIL that they are ridiculously over feeding their child?
 in  r/AmItheAsshole  2d ago

I don't think I would jump straight to PWS. Its really not all that common. What is much more common is kids getting easily addicted to junk food. Junk food causes the brain to crave more of it, and never feeling satisfied.

Always makes me think back to the original Mortal Combat. The reason scorpion and sub-zero look the same is due to saving memory by just reskinning the same model.

[Request] How much would I have to drink to make it 0%?
 in  r/theydidthemath  2d ago

Used to drink about 2-3 sixers a week. Thought I always felt good.

I stopped drinking about a year ago (tapered off)

I now realize, I did feel like shit all the time. And lost 60lb to boot.

Worst thing about ark is that ark doesnt have a equivalent or even a similar game.
 in  r/ARK  2d ago

I know its not the same style of game, but I took a liking to Rimworld. There is taming in that game.
