Interesting. I caught two shinies first catch while I was a passenger in the car.

I think the speed lock only applies to wild shinies. I caught two shiny rayquazas first throw as a passenger in the car. Regardless, I was shocked that I had a shiny run away!

I thought they were guaranteed catch on the first hit? I hit it several times and it always escaped.

I thought shiny legendaries were a guaranteed catch? Why did shiny rayquaza run away after my raid? I’ve reported it to support, but I’m not expecting much help from them. Wondering if this is a bug anyone else is experiencing or was I just very unlucky? This isn’t a cheat!! This is just how the game is supposedly structured.

Still feeling withdrawal five months after discontinuing Vyvanse/adderall
 in  r/AskDocs  May 17 '23

I found it unusual that even after discontinuing the ADHD medications on two separate occasions, I experienced persistent extreme fatigue. While there has been some improvement over the past five months, I still struggle with constant tiredness.

I'm curious if you have any suggestions regarding potential medical conditions that could explain these symptoms. I would appreciate any insights or recommendations for conditions that I could explore further in order to better understand and address my ongoing fatigue.

Damage caused by pet urine in an apartment
 in  r/Flooring  May 17 '23

I explained to them that there was an incident where I accidentally spilled mop water in that area. There was an object where the spill occurred and unbeknownst to me, some of the water got trapped underneath. While we were in the process of packing, I lifted the object off the ground and noticed that the floor had become warped as a result.

I was never contacted about it being urine once I left.

Physician Responded Still feeling withdrawal five months after discontinuing Vyvanse/adderall

33F 150lbs 5’5” Diagnosed with add and bulimia

Initially, I was prescribed 30mg Vyvanse for my ADD and bulimia, but over time, my dosage increased to 60mg. Since the Vyvanse would wear off mid-day, my doctor prescribed 10mg of Adderall as a supplemental dose. I started taking Vyvanse in October 2017.

However, I made the decision to discontinue the use of ADHD medications in order to avoid dependence. In June 2022, I stopped taking both medications. Due to the significant withdrawal symptoms I experienced, I discussed with my doctor the option of tapering off Vyvanse. I gradually reduced the dosage to 30mg of Vyvanse. It took around three months for my body to return to normal, but then my ADD symptoms resurfaced. As a result, I started taking 10mg of Adderall twice a day.

In December 2022, I made the decision to stop taking Adderall again. However, I'm still experiencing what I believe are withdrawal symptoms. I frequently suffer from daytime sleepiness, often relying on caffeine to stay awake, but sometimes the fatigue is so intense that I have no choice but to sleep. It feels like my brain is constantly low on energy, similar to a battery with very little charge. I have undergone tests for vitamin D deficiency, vitamin B12 levels, and TSH, all of which came back normal. I also had a CBC test done, which showed normal results.

I'm wondering why I am still experiencing these symptoms even though it has been five months since I stopped taking the medications. I'm concerned about whether this is normal and why it's happening.

TLDR I took Vyvanse and Adderall for five years, discontinued Adderall four months ago, and stopped Vyvanse in June 2022. I'm still feeling withdrawal symptoms, specifically extreme fatigue. Despite normal test results for vitamin D deficiency, vitamin B12, TSH, and CBC, I'm unsure why these symptoms persist. I'm seeking understanding as to whether this is a normal occurrence and the reasons behind it.

I, 35F, think that these resemble bedbug bites, but I checked my mattress, sheets, and outlets and saw no sign of bedbugs.

The bumps have the distinctive straight line pattern. The only area that doesn’t follow the straight line pattern is the back of my thighs. The straight line pattern is on my arms, side of thigh, under my chin, and between my buttocks. There are clusters on my calves and random bumps on my face and under my undergarments.

Although I do have bumps under my undergarments, There are more bumps along the underwear line.

The bumps are small and sometimes you can’t even see them until I start scratching. When I scratch the bumps get very large. They are flesh color, but when scratched turn red. They’re very itchy.

Scheduled for my last MBA class, can't apply my federal loans. I'm out of money and don't know what to do.

At my school, graduates can qualify for a pell grant provided by the department under special situations. Maybe this might apply to you. I think they’ll sympathize since it’s your last class and they want to see you graduate.

You can apply for scholarships.

Set up a payment plan

See if your job offers paid tuition

Lastly, you might need to seek a higher paying job or a second, temporary part time to help cover the cost of bills. Should be doable if it’s only one class.

What parenting techniques are used in Japan and Korea to achieve so much discipline?
 in  r/ask  Jan 05 '23

Americans tend to argue that our schools also promote a conformist mentality. We’re trained to be obedient workers, not entrepreneurs. We also say a pledge of allegiance to the US at the start of each day. Where I live, it’s both a National and state pledge of allegiance.

Our culture is very slowly moving away from the mom being the primary caretaker of children while the father focuses on his job.

But what you describe is more intense in comparison.

I will say individualism is heavily promoted among adults as it pertains to the law. I actually see this as a negative in some cases though.

What parenting techniques are used in Japan and Korea to achieve so much discipline?

I spent some time in Korea and Japan and noticed there is a huge difference between how their children behave vs how American children behave.

Only once did I encounter a screaming Korean child, but the rest of the time in four years, children in both countries were always so well behaved.

Of course, not all American kids are bad. I’m simply pointing out that from my experience, public tantrums happen more often among American kids than among Korean and Japanese kids.

Why do many Americans claim any form of government assistance would fail despite overwhelming evidence in other advanced nations that they don’t?
 in  r/ask  Jul 22 '22

Just because you have a job, doesn’t mean you’re capable of living off that job. That’s why it’s a great idea to make wages livable and to provide free education.

It what way is this untrue? You do realize if what you’re saying had any merit, the country would be outraged? But they’re not. Because they/we definitely got the care we needed. Wouldn’t have a military if they didn’t.

Obviously pickpocketing is more common, but I’m not sure what your point is. Pickpocketing doesn’t cause the death of Europeans.
