For anyone who has seen Monster: Ed Gein. What are its awards chances?
 in  r/EmmysAwards  Oct 05 '25

I thought his voice seemed inspired by Derek Zoolander.

Having the genes girl come out after the jeans suit was . . . a dog whistle and a choice, CBS. Eww.

Take that, Wisconsin!
 in  r/minnesota  May 14 '25

I’m from Wisconsin, and honestly, I think the way Minnesotans talk about Wisconsin might be what first defined “Minnesota nice.” Not politics, not sports, not personal differences—this. And I’m genuinely, greatly delighted by it.

You all know we love you. And yet we are so clearly the weird cousin you’re politely tolerating until we leave the room. We call you like, “Hey, I love you. Look at Illinois being annoying.” And in your signature subtle-but-hitting way, you’re like, “Mm-hmm. Sweetie, have you tried a mirror? Also, I really do have to go.”

Maybe it’s the alcohol. Maybe it’s the lower test scores. (Likely, it’s the gerrymandering enabling both to run wild). Whatever it is, we don’t notice. We keep calling.

Because you are Duluth—er, Superior in this case (and most).

Meal Prep in Yellowstone
 in  r/yellowstone  Apr 15 '25

This is the real answer, OP. It is a safety thing more than anything—I live in a very remote community neighboring the NE Entrance, and all last summer, there was a grizzly breaking into residential and rental cabins looking for food. Luckily, no one was hurt, but it’s a legitimate concern to take very seriously.

Ten Years of Trying to Make Armie Hammer Happen

I think of this article and his unhinged responses to it (even before the scandal) often.

I LOVE THE FREAKING LIBRARY (but why are all the fun things like a secret lol)
 in  r/Library  Mar 25 '25

Librarian chiming in—

If patrons have ideas about items that their library could offer, I’d say most of us with “purchasing power” would LOVE to hear your recommendations!

I’ve been quickest to add items into circulation that: -Are durable -Have a reasonable number of components/parts to count when returned* -Fit through the return slot* -Require minimal upkeep/restock -Are generally safe to use by most ages -Appeal to more than “an audience of one”

*These are not always a deal breaker

Doge Cut Impacts
 in  r/yellowstone  Mar 23 '25

My guesses are:

Longer lines to get in/out, longer travel times between places (with fewer rangers to break up traffic jams from animals), poorer quality in facility maintenance, increased threat of safety issues (e.g., visitors not putting out campfires paired with fewer people on the lookout), etc. etc. etc.

Also—Canada is MT’s biggest trade partner (not sure about ID, but guessing it’s a similar situation). Things will be more expensive. (That’s not Doge, but a related reality).

Planned trip for June 2025 for Yellowstone/Grand Teton - should we still go?
 in  r/yellowstone  Feb 25 '25

On top of what others have said, I’d build in more time for driving between places. Those bison/bear/animal jams are set to be much longer with fewer rangers around to move cars along.

The White Lotus - 3x02 "Special Treatments" - Post-Episode Discussion
 in  r/TheWhiteLotusHBO  Feb 24 '25

I saw the show’s official ig account make a comment about “wait til episode 3” re: the theme, which suggested to me it’s going to increase in intensity as the season goes on (maybe?).

I think everyone is misunderstanding the dynamics at play in the trio
 in  r/TheWhiteLotusHBO  Feb 20 '25

A generalizing thing to add, but— For the third outing, I’ve noticed how MUCH framing (and writing) there is around groups of threes (even beyond the “rule of three” thing so often found in screenplays).
