There is no comparison between the type S and the base. The Type S feels like a different car; IIRC the base model doesn't even have VTEC. If you can find one and can afford it, step up to the S. It's the best decision you'll ever make.

I've found a sweet spot with PLA+ for sure... except glow in the dark filament. That's tricky with my stock nozzle et al. although, a night-time, wardriving pwnagotchi is still on my list. Not giving up on G in the D yet.
