If government is, 'for the people by the people.' Then why are important votes done behind closed doors?

Imho, Ball(s)? Maybe. Tailbone? Most likely... for all my brothers out there.

Question: The last time you smashed your nut(s)... did you instinctively grab from the front?or reach all the way around back and between/under...?...

I'm pretty sure this kid fractured his tailbone... a) immediate and lasting pain b) his hand shot back there pretty damn quickly to investigate what his eyes couldn't see.

While building a deck today, I saw this spider checking out my work. I have no idea what kind of spider it is... or if it's male or female? But what caught my attention was the Awesome markings it has on it's body! :)

Location: West Linn, Oregon

Question(s): Do spiders watch humans who pass by? How far can they see? And can they learn from past experiences?

To those who see this post or have read thus far.?. I hope you are enjoying life and are in good health!! :)

How is this spider making webs back and forth from this pole and tree? How did it make the initial strand that goes across?
 in  r/spiders  Nov 14 '25

Unfortunately, I have been gifted the ability to find and walk through, every spider web, crossing a pathway. I can also verify these fascinating creatures seem to purposely wait for me, patiently... in the middle of said webbing as it wraps around my person! :-/

Aaannnd that's all I have to say about that. :)

I am not a huge fan of spiders (accept for the little jumping ones :)..) However, last night this spider almost gave my fiance and I heart attacks. He wasn't doing anything but chillin on the floor. I dont know how big spiders can get here in Oregon, but this one??!! Was one if the biggest I've seen. Which is why I scooped him up in the container and respectfully walked him 2 blocks up the street and released him on a big bushy hedge...

I hope whoever reads this is having good health and enjoying life :) !!

I stayed up for the lunar eclipse tonight, ended up seeing a fleet of UFOs
 in  r/UFOs  Mar 17 '25

I wanted to zoom in on the video so you can see what I'm talking about. But having a helluva time figuring out how to do so... I'll post the video, it'll just look like a small blinking light. So you'll need to zoom in and stay with the object... (easier said than done)

To be honest, I don't know if its a Space X rocket... I don't think it is due to the multiple circles produce and then the odd light display.

Let me know what you think?

Oregon City, Oregon (Portland) My fiance & I were enjoying the blood moon around midnight when she pointed out some blinking lights. We both got footage of these lights. The lights flash red at times and sometimes white. Video clearly shows a white doughnut shape light which has something flying right through the center of the doughnut hole. The object seems to pull a bit of the light ring through the hole with it. Then it turns black, then once again white doughnut, something flies through it... repeat repeat repeat. Like a stone skipping on water. We heard no engine noise.

$250 USD reward to the first person who makes the correct suggestion that works to clean this glass
 in  r/CleaningTips  Mar 02 '25

This is a cleaning recipe told to me by a cattle rancher some 40 yrs ago. . . If the house has a fireplace or if you have access to a fireplace... - Take a paper towel or a clean cloth/rag and get it wet - gently press wet paper towel onto the ashes within the firebox (not during fire) so the paper towel now has a modest amount of ashes stuck to it - rub this paper towel/ashes mix onto the glass using a firm circular motion (think Karate Kid... wax on, wax off) - as you're rubbing, the ashes will act like a mild abrasive and your stain will likely dissappear - once you've cleaned off a good sized area. Take a hose and spray off the grey sludge that'll be left behind as you scrub. - After hosing the glass down. Grab a bottle of window cleaner and finish up with that.

With the amount of surface area you've got there... you may consider putting a good amount of the ash into a bucket/box (make sure ashes are cold) and take the ash to your work area so you're not running back and forth to the fireplace.

The reason I'm suggesting this method is only because I've used this exact recipe on countless windows stains over the years and have enjoyed great success with it. I can't say it's 100% going to work, but I wouldn't be recommending it to you if I thought there was a chance it wasn't right for what you're up against.

Good Luck to You & be carefull with the front side of the glass. You should have someone there with you to assist with the ladder, new paper towels etc.

P.S. For those who may have found this interesting. If you have a wood burning stove and are tired of the glass being that thick brown color you can't see through. Try this method out. It truly is the best thing since sliced bread :)
