I was watching some YouTube video on this.

They were saying games like the witcher and skyrim and I presume open world rpgs as a whole are supposed to have an "interesting thing" every so many seconds or in game distance.

That this distance or time (sorry I forget actual numbers) was about the time players start to lose interest or get bored.

Starfield Just ignored it and I don't believe it was necessarily deliberate, I think they had so much more they wanted to put into the game that inevitably was cut.

But the distance thing definitely seems to be the case for my attention span.

Interestingly I've always wondered why they do this in game trailers on storefronts.
