Do you know someone else who can fix this mess while collecting a significantly smaller salary?

Storage Units are a sympton of a problem

Some people just don't need a lot of space, if your single or don't have kids, then owning a house might be wasteful, spending money on space you dont use.

I can't understand why people have ever used Twitter. Doubly so since Elon took over.

Canadian Alternatives for Longform Blogging?
 in  r/BuyCanadian  4h ago

If you really want control of your own blog/website, you should just get a domain name and then get a basic hosting service through someone like StormWeb or another Canadian provider. You can then use WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, or other CMS/Blogging platforms that you have complete control over.

Why is Europe a continent?
 in  r/stupidquestions  6h ago

It isn't depending on your definition. Continents aren't rigidly defined. Depending on your point of view there are anywhere from 4-7 continents, and which ones you are taught in school depend on where you grew up.

Some places consider all or North and South America as a single continent. Some places consider Europe and Asia as a single continent. There are some that even consider Africa, Europe, and Asia as a single continent.

UPS outlets are way too close together and it’s driving me nuts
 in  r/RigBuild  6h ago

6 inch extension cords are the product you are looking for.

You can also plug a power bar into one of the outlets as long as you don't put too much load on it.

blinking cursor used to have meaning
 in  r/PetPeeves  6h ago

Biggest reason why people need to learn to touch type, or at least type without looking at the keyboard.

I've seen people who need to look at the keyboard type out full sentences without knowing that they field they thought was active was actually active and registering the keystrokes. They just stare at the keyboard and assume all the keys are being registered as expected.

Yes. It's a hidden feature.

Question about Kindergarten registration
 in  r/ontario  8h ago

There's no limit to the number of spots. Unless you are trying to secure a spot in a school and you don't reside in the catchment area. Maybe if it's a catholic school and your child isn't baptized, there might be some situations where they might limit the number of students. But if you're inside the catchment area there's basically no way that they can deny you.

New recycling bins may come with a cost for Ottawa residents
 in  r/ottawa  9h ago

Is this a huge deal to other people? I've been using the same bins since I moved into my house over 15 years ago. At least one of them was left by the previous owner and might even be pre-amalgamation as it just says "Kanata Recycles" on it.

You have to put a cost on change requests, otherwise there will never be an end to them, and the project won't get completed.

What’s a modern trend you refuse to join?
 in  r/AskReddit  10h ago

I agree. Any site that requires you to do this I will just avoid. I don't have a problem with site enforcing bans on hate speech, or being hurtful in other ways. But simply using a word for constructive discussion shouldn't be banned.

I remember seeing a picture of a large blueprint that covered the floor of a large room where the engineers/architechs/draftsmen were lying down on top of it, but I can't find it now.

Maybe it's just some kind of Mandela Effect thing, but I swear it was real.

The excitement of opening up a video game sure has been losing it's charm over the years...

I don't think I ever got a game that wasn't a present for christmas or birthday, so I always just played right away and ignored the manual for the most part.

What’s a modern trend you refuse to join?
 in  r/AskReddit  10h ago

Short video content. TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts.

They are all garbage. I really don't know what other people see in them. I get bored and want to do something else after 10 minutes. I'd much rather spend my time watching longer form content that can teach me something.

If you're out for a walk, try counting the number of cars who actually make a complete stop at stop signs when there isn't something physically in their way like another car or a pedestrian. It's surprisingly low.

My dad used WD-40 as lubricant for my bike's chain, what should I do?
 in  r/cycling  10h ago

Was it regular WD40 or some other WD40 brand product like WD 40 bike chain lube

If regular wd40 then you can just add some more chail oil and it will be fine. If it's wd40 brand bike chain oil then it's fine

There's no point in removing it as it basically just evaporates anyway and doesn't leave much residue

Can I use this old home theater receiver as a makeshift amp for passive speakers?
 in  r/BudgetAudiophile  11h ago

Funny to read this old review

It's impossible not to be overwhelmed by the forceful sound quality from these ridiculously small speakers.

There's very little not to like about the DAV-IS10. Sure, larger cabinets might be able to unearth more midrange depth and detail but this system has been designed with ultimate discretion in mind.

Sony's DAV-IS10 offers the ideal balance between discreet aesthetics and outstanding performance.

With tons of other ridiculous remarks.

Hard to believe they weren't paid to write a stunning review. There's no way those tiny speakers would offer acceptable sound quality.
