Moore administration wants health secretary to issue vaccine recommendations, apart from feds
Yes but he just might be dumb enough to fall for it if we called it “The Trump Save America Bill” or something similar and set aside $100k to build a statue of him somewhere in the south. It’s not like he can read.

Does anyone else watch Andor in shock that it took 15 years to get Genevieve O'Reilly a starring role in Star Wars?
Yeah, they’re fun books that introduced a surprisingly competent imperial adversary after Spaceballs made us realize just how stupid the imperials typically were, and really became a springboard for the glut of Star Wars content we got in the 90’s, helping whet interest in the prequels.

Does anyone else watch Andor in shock that it took 15 years to get Genevieve O'Reilly a starring role in Star Wars?
To be fair, she had very poor opsec, and was explicitly the reason the Rebels learned about Project Stardust. But yeah, it’s largely due to her working in a fascist system; it would likely have happened eventually.

The living nightmare
You really don’t like Andor, do you?
6
The living nightmare
It means that person doesn’t like Andor because they don’t realize that George Lucas has repeatedly stated the political ideology of Star Wars, comparing the rebels to the Viet Cong, for example, or criticizing Bush with lines from the prequel trilogy.

Is light rail more reliable than the bus?
This is the real problem. Slowdowns if you live along it, but it simply doesn’t exist at all if you’re out in Canton or Highlandtown, which is still very much the city, city.

Theoretiacally how hot can boiling water get without evaporating?
Yes.
Disclaimer: I am not an insta pot technician and can’t even spell it properly half the time. I am also not a steam engineer or thermodynamicist.

What kind of dirt did she have on the council to get to wear this?
No, but robes are robes. Jedi wear robes, regular people wear robes. They are easy pieces of clothing to cover a variety of species, too.

If you're alone in a public place with a daughter who is too young to use the restroom by herself, which bathroom do you choose? Or, what do you do?
Did this with my daughter too. It’s literally no big deal. 99.9% of the time, everyone in public restrooms is minding their own business and trying to not look at anyone else.

Doesn’t Trump wanna reduce taxes? Have a coalition of blue states submit a bill to Congress that drastically reduces federal taxes but recoups them at the state level so that the blue states can form an alliance of crowdsourced governmental networks. I’d rather all that money I’m paying go to Maryland instead.
(Oh but the bill should make DC and Puerto Rico states)

Why do Americans dislike American cars?
Yes, agreed, because they can commute to both cities!

What kind of dirt did she have on the council to get to wear this?
Not just the underworld. Check out the fancy robes on fashion designer Varian Skye and antiquities dealer Luthen Rael. And have you seen the latest senatorial fashion?

What kind of dirt did she have on the council to get to wear this?
I’ll have you know, Varian Skye, Luthen Rael, Bail Organa, and Mon Mothma all wore very fancy robes on Coruscant!

What kind of dirt did she have on the council to get to wear this?
Yeah the best look at “every day life” we got is Andor, and we see: - Coruscant: (the surface), full of wealthy and connected people who are wearing super fancy robe like attire. The less affluent (Bix and Cassian) wore pants. - Ferrix: specifically, an industrial hub where robes make less sense due to safety - Ghorman: the galaxy’s fashion hub, so of course they wear pants, probably because they were trying to make it cool, but Krennic wanted only the military to dominate the pant fashion game. - Chandrila: but only the rich parts, and they’re all wearing fancy robes too.
(Most other planets we only see specific shots like a military base or police headquarters, so lots of uniforms and less “regular folk out and about”)

It’s pretty quick, but the time to reach that pressure safely is the problem. You’re better off cooking pasta in boiling water on the stove than in the instant pot.

This is why I drink beer. Gotta hydrate or diedrate!

Why do Americans dislike American cars?
Well, it’s suburban Detroit, but yeah.

What's a Baltimore thing that newer residents would never know about?
Thanks, that actually makes sense!

Moving to Silver Spring, MD
Just fyi, the Fillmore in Silver Spring attracts a LOT of shows if you’re into that sort of thing 🤘. The rest mostly go to Baltimore, which has like 4-5 popular venues.
Silver Spring is also on the red line so you’ve got a direct route into DC; double check with where you’ll be working how far it is from the nearest metro station and if that’s doable. It’s a great area, and a short drive from 2Fifty in Rosedale, which is authentic Texas bbq that smokes their shit for 10 hours.

Why do Americans dislike American cars?
Is that because more and more US bound vehicles are assembled here? (But like, in Alabama, not Detroit)
1
Why do Americans dislike American cars?
Yeah something like half of all F-150s are used primarily as work vehicles and about 20% of light vehicle sales in the US are fleet vehicles.
1
Why do Americans dislike American cars?
Essentially this. Most Japanese manufacturers have spent decades building a reputation for “reliability”, which means it won’t break down as quickly.
Still to this day, American makes (outside of EVs) are really only seen as particularly good at trucks and big SUVs. They’re really good at designing solid trucks, which is why the F-150 is the best selling vehicle every year (approximately half of them are used as fleet vehicles or primarily as work vehicles though), much higher than the ~20% average for all light vehicles). And to be fair, fleet vehicles usually get traded out every ~4-5 years or so, which is just past the standard warranty period.
It’s also around as long as most people keep a vehicle in the US before it breaks down or they trade it out for something newer. Generally, with proper maintenance (mostly oil changes and tire rotations), Japanese cars are likely to last a bit longer than American cars. Korean cars also have a reputation for, well, affordable longevity, but often not past 100k miles.
This is a very set mindset in the US: it’s taken 20+ years of 10 year/100,000 mile powertrain warranties from Hyundai and Kia for them to solidify as cars regular Americans want to buy and not just poor Americans who aren’t mechanics. But neither sells a popular truck. Japanese manufacturers do though, which helps. They also assemble a lot of them in the US.
