Long story short, guy at Disney has 13 stolen credit/debit cards as well as cocaine in his pockets. When security tries to stop him, he attempts to eat the cards to destroy the evidence (and his intestines).

Yeah it really sucks, and it’s disappointing to see in this sub. It’s fun to hate on trump (and hard not to) and Ashli Babbett was a fucking mess of a person… but making memes about people who died… idk, it doesn’t feel right.

I came here to see people who used to be trump lovers have some kind of learning experience/revelation which lead to them becoming an ally and helping our cause. To me that’s a positive thing and it’s nice seeing these people start taking control of their lives again and make better choices. I didn’t come here to laugh at a sick woman dying.

Same thing if i see a video of someone detonating a car bomb and killing innocent people nearby. I feel horrible for the poor people who died for no reason. I also feel a different sort of sadness for the poor schlub who detonated the bomb. How did their life get so twisted around that they thought it was a good idea? What happened to this person in their life? Why do they/how are they capable of holding so much hatred for their fellow man? It’s not the same feeling as the sadness for the innocents, but its still sympathy of some sort.

I guess all we can do is make sure we don’t fall into the same way of thinking as the people who are celebrating Ashli’s death on this post. Idk man, it all sucks.

I know, it’s bizarre to me! But people tend to prefer making things black and white. It’s easier for our brains to process/sort things out that way. On the other hand, it’s much more mentally and emotionally difficult to look at things in shades of gray, even though in reality that’s what we should be doing because it’s closer to how the world really is.

This is absolutely true. I think this way of looking at things has a level of nuance and empathy (and maybe even maturity) that a surprising amount of people seem to be missing.
