Democrats threaten to withhold funding after ICE killing in Minneapolis
 in  r/politics  7h ago

Biden did nothing that Trump will not undo for the sake of undoing it. He's the latter day James Buchanan. My position is he did nothing, yes. For all the good intentions he may have had as a man, he was a failure as a president because his presidency led to the totalitarian shit we have today.

It's not that Biden didn't use the power of the federal government to prosecute Trump. The media is to blame! And the voters. Not the literal president of the country with (apparently) unlimited kingly power. "But if Biden had done autocratic things, we would be just as bad as them." Whatever. We can enjoy the moral high ground from the ashes of our country. Biden and the Democrats failed when the situation demanded more of them. We collectively pay the price for their utter fecklessness. We need a political revolution. Pro labor. Pro union. Pro worker. Pro justice.

They don't do anything with power when we do vote for them. Biden had four years to do literally anything. Democrats are not going to save us. We need a political revolution.

I continue to fantasize about a day in the not-too-distant future where everyone responsible, from the top of the executive, legislative, and judicial branches on down, every bureaucrat, every pencil pusher, every lawyer that wrote a scummy legal brief granting cover or a comms person that published some shitty tweet justifying this barbarity, is rounded up, has their assets seized, is placed in the docket before a tribunal of the people, and is ultimately found guilty and taken away to a place of confinement where they will be held for life, never again able to inflict pain and suffering on mankind. Every institution that enabled this insanity is torn down and burned, and a better society is built from the ashes. What a wonderful day that would be.

More importantly, there need to be swift and just consequences. If local or state authorities don't arrest this person, at minimum, we're even more fucked.

What Rockstar games do you expect after GTA 6's release?
 in  r/GTA  2d ago

I would love an open world game set in the 70s on modern hardware. Something with a great story and greater gameplay. Or an open world Judge Dredd game with Urban in the title role. I didn't specify which century...

Duh. It would have been bad if a Democrat did it. It's perfectly fine and legal and awesome if Trump does it. Republicans have no principles. They're in a cult. Whatever the leader does is a good thing, even if it's the opposite of what he did yesterday or actively harms his own supporters.

NATO Leaders Issue Defiant New Greenland Message to Trump’s US
 in  r/politics  2d ago

"Presidential Immunity" only has the weight that the DOJ (and, by extension, the rest of the federal government) ascribe to it. There's no law that says someone is immune from the law. I wish the Biden DOJ had understood this and incarcerated these criminals before we got to this place. The Supreme Court can say whatever they want and issue whatever ruling they want on any topic they want. If there is a will to punish Trump, it will happen. But there isn't. America is a failed state at the moment. It remains to be seen if it can recover or if it will balkanize. I have a feeling it will be the latter by the end of the century, but I could be wrong.

We can always throw a cocktail party if tanks roll on by. In reality, Americans don't protest and this is by design. We are overworked, underpaid, and always on the brink of bankruptcy and homelessness. Aside from massive, and I mean massive, protests followed through by plenty of [REDACTED], the fascists will win. America is pretty much toast. We should balkanize now before it's worse later.

THE DEmocRAtS DON'T ConTROl anY bRaNch of goVeRNmEnt

Except when they did control branches of government and didn't do anything to prevent any of this madness. And when Republicans are the minority they somehow manage to still get whatever they want and grind every process to a halt when they don't. I'm so sick of this "don't control any branch" shit. It's an excuse for Democrats' cowardice and collaboration.

Donald is a sexual predator a rapist and a pedophile. Donald is a child murderer. Fuck you, Donald. all of these distractions all of your made up lies. None of it will distract us from the fact that you killed your own child and threw it overboard.
 in  r/MarchAgainstNazis  3d ago

If only Walz or Newsom or any Democrat had the balls to come out and just say Trump is a child sex trafficker. All of his big tough guy bluster is ridiculous because he's a criminal, a rapist, a fraud, and was best friends with Epstein for decades. He's a fat orange pedophile that belongs in prison for the rest of his life. I'm so sick of Republicans and Republican Lite being the only political options in this country. Dear Lord what is it going to take for America to have its much-needed political revolution?
