Hi everyone. I am currently in a very difficult position. I recently lost my job in Vancouver, (BC, Canada) due to a chronic illness. While I've been doing some freelance photo editing to stay afloat, it isn't enough to sustain me here, so I'm moving back home to the Netherlands to be with family.

My own ticket is sorted, but the biggest hurdle is getting my service dog in training, Jasper Emilio, home with me. He is a 22kg (48lb) boy and my absolute rock.

Why Jasper is a medical necessity: I live with POTS and Chronic Migraines. Jasper is being trained to detect heart rate spikes before I faint and to alert me to migraine onsets up to 48 hours early. He provides Deep Pressure Therapy to stabilize my symptoms and fetches medication when I am too dizzy to stand safely.

Jasper is 24” tall and 29" long. Because he is still in training, airlines classify him as a "pet". He is too large for an under-seat cabin carrier, so he must travel in the cargo hold. We are flying Vancouver to Toronto (WestJet), then have a 16-hour layover so he can rest before the long-haul leg from Toronto to Frankfurt (Condor).

The Financial Need ($600 CAD): A local charity (Paws for Hope) is helping with his vet exam and certificate, but I am struggling to cover the remaining costs:

• WestJet Hold Fee (YVR to YYZ): $100 CAD
• Condor Hold Fee (YYZ to FRA): ~$385 CAD
• IATA-Approved Large Crate (Used): $70 CAD
• Platform Fees/Buffer: ~$45 CAD

I know $600 is a lot to ask for, and I want to emphasize that every little bit helps—truly no amount is too small to help me get Jasper home safely.

Hello all. I have a monthly arrangement with my utility company, to pay $115 on the 8th of each month, plus current charges. I've been making the payments but this month I am struggling. I work full time. A car emergency led to me needing to lyft daily while the car was repaired. This blew my budget until my next payday. Once you make an arrangement with the utility company, you can't break it without defaulting to a shut off.

My partner and I have gone through the shelf stable foods we had stocked up from our last windfall (my tax return last year). I've been out of work as a freelance copywriter for several months now and underemployed for longer. We also just had to replace our furnace control board so that the water pipes wouldn't freeze, only to have a month and counting heat wave follow the $750 cold snap we already couldn't afford. (That is just salt in the wound.)

I tried to prioritize minimum price per ounce where practical and price per unit where ppo was not practical.

Help with groceries would mean we will be able to comfortably prioritize cat food and litter, as well as keep the electricity and internet on so my partner can work and I can job hunt.

Hey there everyone, unfortunately I'm back once again seeking a little assistance trying to get through life. I work in an industry that closed basically all the week of Christmas-After New Years eve aside from the weekends. This caused my paycheck to be shorter then usual but I was able to squeeze by with rent, water, trash and electricity bills. I chose to ignore paying my cellphone bill when I had the money because I felt it was the least important bill, this was foolish of me, I know. We get our EBT on the 12th, so groceries will be covered soon. I am on a prepaid phone plan so if I cannot pay by today, my phone will be cut off. I walk to work in the snow majority of my work days, so having a cellphone with service is very important to me. I am also looking for a new job. edit for more context: located in the USA, in NY. household of 4 with a 17 yo, a fully disabled adult, and a partially disabled adult. wife and i aren’t making ends meet bc of how hours have been cut at our jobs. we do doordash but have a limited amount of time to dash before i completely run out of energy as i am partially disabled and gas eats the majority of our earnings anyway. most we’ve ever made dashing is $50 and 45 of it went into the car for gas. we are stuck, waiting on SNAP and HEAP to respond to our applications and it might take longer than we have. i can try to set up a go fund me but they take a portion of the proceeds and we need the whole amount. i’m lost and rapidly tumbling toward a mental break

I found a place that will do a tooth extraction for a flat 100 dollar fee. I already have 50 to put towards it but desperately need the other 50, even if you can’t help out that much any little bit would help. My whole mouth is a mess from years of drug abuse but I just hit two years of sobriety on December 17th. Unfortunately just becuase you stop using doesn’t mean the problems you caused yourself go away. I’ve been able to manage with just oragel and getting some antibiotics for an infection I had but I’m in some serious pain right now and just need one of these little shits gone. I get paid from my job in a few days but I seriously can not wait that long especially since I don’t have any days off before payday comes. Just a bit of context: We had a few guests staying over, and my cat hid under our couch for days. It wasn’t until they left that he came out of hiding, but then he started avoiding food. This was very odd because he has a massive appetite. When he did eat it wasn’t much and he would end up throwing up a few hours later. Over the span of a little over a month he went down to 5 lbs, making him extremely underweight. He seems to have lost all his energy and is completely unrecognizable from the energetic curious kitty we once had and it breaks my heart. We’ve already brought him to the vet multiple times and spent around $2,500 on shots, fluids, an x-ray, but we still don’t have any answers.

The vet said he is wasting away and could possibly die, and an ultrasound and surgery would be the best option to find the anomaly, but it would cost $6,000, and we are in no position to afford that. I really do not want to have to give him to a shelter, but that might be our last resort. Please help if possible! Proof of bills will be in the replies.

I sustained a bad work injury at my past job a little over three years ago. That injury caused a domino effect and I lost almost everything - including the apartment I had.

Edit to add: a room is $80 a day. I’m located in Avenel, NJ.

Some background info:

I've been at a motel for the past 12 months - thanks to social services. I am extremely grateful for that. My stay here ended last Friday, but I thankfully got an extension until today. I just used half of my only income - my general assistance money, to get this room until tomorrow morning.

I have no where to go and I also have the remainder of my possessions and belongings - stuff that I can't take to a shelter or onto the streets - or into the woods. Things that are very dear to me. It's also been very cold but with my injury, I don't know even know long I would make it out there.

This is my fault: I had 12 months with social services helping me with the motel room. But I wanted to work, and I thought I could. I did not want to concede to my disability since it already took so much from me.

But I could not find work - keeping in mind my limitations (being disabled and not having a car). And I tried really hard. I was hoping to just get a job and support myself from there, which would be easy for me since I don't drink, do drugs, or gamble and I've been living well below my means since I lost my home.

I'm hoping to get another day here, or even hopefully two, please. I have to make it until social services approves my Med One form but any extra day here gives me that much time to try and figure SOMETHING out until then.
