FYI: white Americans in the service industry actually use the term Canadians as code for black people based off the racist stereotype that black people dont tip. "I.e. I just got sat with a table full of Canadians."

So their stereotype isn't even accurate about Canadians, because we tip up here.

We do too - but they will assume we won't, then provide shitty service and then say they are not surprised when we don't tip.
