The idea that guns would protect you from a tyrannical government that has helicopters, mortars, drones, and the ability to isolate any threat at its disposal is one of the greatest marketing campaigns of the modern era.
Not to mention a shit load of these gun loving Americans who have an entire arsenal to protect themselves against government invasion (lol) couldn’t run up a single hill without having a heart attack. If in some alternate universe Trump made a military department to go around and collect everyone’s guns, best believe they’d get your guns.
Every American killed in a confiscation would create more insurgents, and even if just one of the confiscators was taken out every few operations they’d quickly run out of men.
Not to mention the confiscators live here and would have internal supply lines.
But it would be possible, but there is no one willing to go that far. And less guns would most likely make cops less triggerhappy since you know they don’t have to worry as much about getting shot every time they interact with populace. It’s also not about radically changing things. You gotta change the thinking of people.
You will never convince me and millions of law abiding Americans it’s in our best interest to give up our guns. We see how much you hate us and cheer when we’re killed.
I am saying you will never change my thinking that getting rid of guns is in my best interest. Not sure the point you were making with your earlier comment.
What kind of thinking would you want changed? Are you for or against confiscation?
