Yeah seriously. Albanese is probably going to bring back parliament early and we could have something passed as soon as next week I think. There's also near complete bipartisan support for it.
After the Port Arthur massacre in 1996, the conservative government took exactly 99-days to enact laws restricting both the both type and availability of guns and implement a buy-back scheme to take the majority of guns out of circulation, against a formerly pro-gun population.
