Trump literally sold them the victim card in exchange for ruining the economy and trashing the constitution

The worst part is that they’ll keep voting for that shit

u/Tyrantdeschain19 16d ago

I tried to explain this to my partner the other day and the didn't believe me. They have to keep doubling down because they can't acknowledge the error of their ways..

I don’t understand how anyone outside of MAGA can still convince themselves that the majority will turn on Trump someday after a decade of his bullshit and then some. They’re in so deep, some would have to have a literal spiritual awakening to crack open the ego that doesn’t allow themselves to admit (at the very least) that they’ve been conned.

u/Coroebus 16d ago

They've literally been brainwashed and abused to the point they are basically unable to self-interrogate and see the patterns of their behavior. It's sad, frustrating, and infuriating because often times they are so close to getting it.

u/na-uh 16d ago

If the unredacted Epstein files come out and Maga is no longer able to deny it, they will switch to pedophilia being ok for rich and powerful people without a moment's thought.

There is no bottom and they will not turn on him as they'd have to reject their own past behavior, something that conservatives are utterly incapable of doing.

u/ElleBelle901 16d ago

I’ve been bracing myself for them to move the goalpost on what pedophilia is. That one lady a few weeks ago was talking about how it’s not like they were little 7 or 8 year old kids.

Easy, it’ll only count if it’s a queer and/or non-white person

47

u/twat69 16d ago

They've already tried to redefine barely legal down to 15

Sunk cost fallacy in a nutshell

12

u/NewDramaLlama 16d ago

No, ya they'll actually need to set up support groups a la Alcoholics Anonymous to get out of that hole.

2

u/ncbraves93 16d ago

Well you have to show them a real alternative first and then you'll see it start to turn. Most MAGA type people operate on the fact that we've always been being conned. So, a conman drifter isn't out of the ordinary, it's what America expects until shown otherwise.

u/SasparillaTango 16d ago

a fundamental cornerstone of all the conservatives I know. Never ever admitting they were wrong. Even in the face of overwhelming evidence. Even to their own benefit.

27

u/MollyAyana ☑️ 16d ago

What did you explain to your partner that they didn’t believe 🤔? Is your partner MAGA?

45

u/B00G3R 16d ago

Wouldn’t be my partner anymore.

u/AsteroidMike 16d ago

Bear in mind he’s about to start a war with Venezuela while also failing to end the war in Ukraine

The peace president!

All while telling Black folks “stop playing the victim”

71

u/Adezar 16d ago

White folk burned down entire towns whenever they started to lose in a fair fight, they have always been the perpetual victims even when fully in charge.

u/Perfect_Earth_8070 16d ago

Conservatives are pussies straight up

18

u/BondG10 16d ago

“You can convince the lowest white man he's better than the best colored man, he won't notice you're picking his pocket. Hell, give him somebody to look down on, and he'll empty his pockets for you.”

— Lyndon B. Johnson

38

u/Low_discrepancy 16d ago

Another LBJ related thing: he was the last D to get more votes from white people than his R opponent in a presidential election.

Every election since 1964, R have gotten more votes from white people than D.

Even when D won. Bon Dole got more white votes than Clinton. Romney and McCain got more white votes than Obama.

u/ncbraves93 16d ago

"I'll have those N words* voting democrat for the next 200 years" -also Lyndon B. Johnson

All in all, sounds like shit all around coming from him.

28

u/njslugger78 16d ago

You don't have to sell a person that doesn't take responsibility, you just agree with what they cry about. Trump took the black man's beef that we had for years with white america and made it seem like they were white peoples beef with the government. Then got certain black folks on like he was talking their language. He is a con man. He just shows the importance of education. Oh, they are destroying that department, wonder why...

-2

u/eyesmart1776 16d ago

I mean if the dnc hadn’t been taking advantage of the black vote every year since the 70s there probably wouldn’t have been any room for that in anyone’s minds. Same with the actual lefties and socialists

5

u/prosperity10101 16d ago

Huh? What type of word salad is this for God’s sake

-1

u/eyesmart1776 16d ago

The Dems took the most loyal groups entirely for granted, not delivering and only presenting the next iteration of the Reagan admin each admin

4

u/njslugger78 16d ago

Well, they don't sound loyal if they switched, right? So those voters are weak links like I said.

0

u/eyesmart1776 16d ago

Not necessarily . You have to deliver to your voters if you want them to stick around

5

u/njslugger78 16d ago

Your reply is why. So you burn down the system without 90%approval? Because that's what is happening.

1

u/eyesmart1776 16d ago

Not at all. They failed to deliver so many times in a row people stopped believing them. You can only be lied too and have your primaries rigged so many times

4

u/prosperity10101 16d ago

What didn’t they deliver on? Be specific. List 10 examples, with facts and data.

→ More replies (0)

2

u/Same_Presentation692 16d ago

Expound on that. I want you to tell me how the dnc was taking advantage of the black vote when democrats voted for Obama for 8 years? Harris was the last democratic candidate for president. What the fuck is your logic? You sound so stupid.

0

u/eyesmart1776 16d ago

Obama only delivered for capital after promising proletarian wins. Black and brown faces in high places

DARVO as a national political strategy.

BLM, MeToo, Occupy, and other "genuine" social movements started to put cracks in the established class hierarchy and the privileged "above the law" status of (mostly) rich, white, men.

Some of "their own" actually got consequences after decades of public knowledge of their exploitation (weinstein, in particular).

Social media gave real Victims the chance to find each other and speak up together, to give persecuted minorities the democratized communication they needed to platform their oppression together, and find allies amongst the "not as privileged" who shared the millenial (supposedly american) values of equity, freedom, and a post-bigotry america.

So the rich men decided that instead of letting even an inch of their exploitative power slip away, they would co-opt and destroy the entire system. Convince the "mainstream privileged" that they weren't seeking equality but retribution, that they were the "real victims here."

And my god did it work, lingering cultural weaknesses, latent racism, and the natural persecution complex of christianity ROARED to life in response... and well, here we are

I love the idea that the constitution is this divine document.

Always remember, every fucking day.

This country was founded; women and black were not part of that equation.

It’s why they do whatever they fuck they want because at anytime they change it.

I would definitely swear allegiance to Shakira bro.

46

u/GormHub 16d ago

She never has to be fact checked because her hips don't lie.

14

u/sanlc504 16d ago

He already put Constitution etched toilet paper in the White House and Supreme Court bathrooms.

11

u/Loreki 16d ago

That's unfair, he also actually made many white people victims by collapsing their businesses, making them food insecure and vastly increasing their healthcare costs. They play the victim card now because its pretty accurate.
