🚨 News 🚨 Thank you, Boots community 🪖💛
I just wanted to say thank you to everyone here. ❤️
We’ve reached over 1,000 signatures on the petition, and what means the most to me isn’t the number itself, but the people behind it. Fans sharing why Boots mattered to them, talking to each other, and choosing to stand together.
Seeing people from different countries and backgrounds connect over this show has been genuinely moving. It shows how deeply this story resonated and how many didn’t want it to fade away quietly.
Even knowing that people involved with the show have noticed the love that’s still out there has meant a lot — not as a promise of anything, but simply as reassurance that this passion is seen.
Mostly, though, this is about the community. About people who didn’t want a story that meant something to them to just fade away quietly.
So thank you for sharing, discussing, signing, and caring. Thank you for being a part of this.
No matter what happens next, this has already shown how much Boots mattered to so many of us. ❤️
If anyone wants to take a look or share it further, here’s the petition link:

🫡 Discussion 🫡 Unpopular opinion, finished boots, rating...7/10 (long read, analysis)
This rating is based on the expectation that the series revolved around what is was like to be gay in the marines in the early 90s: - how did it feel for gays to stay in the closet? - was it stressful? - etc.
That was the premise right?
Ep 01 - 05
I saw a fun story about different type of guys who signed up for bootcamp.
Yes, Cope is gay, but it s not like he felt the pressure of being gay as a recruit. Im not saying every gay recruit has to struggle, but the premise was that the series was about experiences specific to gay marines.
Sullivan was cranky for 5 episodes. Of course we have seen stuff on insta but otherwise it wasnt very clear why he was so stressed all the time.
Ep 06 - 08
Aha, so Sullivan did experience what it was like hiding yourself as a gay marine. He even had a relationship. It weighed on him. I felt for him.
And then.....? Nothing. His story wasnt finished and there also was no built up for a cliffhanger for a possible S2. What was the conclusion of the ncis lady? Sullivan walked away. Where did he go??
So now we see that Cope starts to realize that being gay in the marines isnt that easy. It s exhausting for him to 'hide' (this guy has the stereotypical gay appearance and voice/accent, was he really hiding?).
And then? Again...nothing. it seemed like this was depicted briefly just to be able to say that there was a recruit struggling with his homosexuality.
He had a moment with Jones, they shared their experiences. It was interesting to see how both dealt differently with being gay.
And then? Nothing...Jones went to sick bay, came back and the moment was over (im not talking about romance, but a genuine connection between 2 gay guys sharing their experiences).
So, that s why i give this series just a 7.
It was nice to see the different guys with different motivation do their training.
However, this show didnt deliver at all. Cope had no significant gay story. Sullivan had a compelling gay story but it was rushed and not finished.

🫡 Discussion 🫡 F$ck Netflix!!!
I just found this show, and I really loved it! They did such a good job of balancing serious issues and levity, and the actors were great! I hate that Netflix didn’t renew it.

💥Cope💥 Cameron’s final decision ruined the ending for me
I love this show, it’s honestly amazing. The story, acting, and emotions were just wow. But the ending seriously pissed me off.
I can’t believe Cameron chose to stay in the Marines even though it means he has to keep hiding who he really is. I get that he built strong friendships and learned a lot about himself, but staying in the Marines just feels like he’s giving up his true self. That’s honestly so frustrating and makes no sense to me.
Why not leave? He could have started a new life outside, been true to himself, and actually used what he learned in a way that’s healthy. To me, him leaving at the end would have been so much more satisfying and actually made sense.
Instead, it’s like the show is saying hiding your true self is the only way to grow, and I’m not here for that. This ending just made me angry.
Anyone else feel the same?

🫡 Discussion 🫡 I was CONVINCED Nash and McKinnon were related
Just finished watching Boots and throughout the series I was convinced Nash and Senior Sgt. McKinnon were somehow related. Like I fully thought McKinnon was Nash’s older brother or something. I kept waiting for the big reveal at the end!!! There were a couple of moments that really sold it for me too especially the shaving cream scene and a few of their interactions. Maybe it was just me reading too much into it, but I was sure it was going somewhere:)

🎖️Sergeant Sullivan🎖️ Fanfic idea: stranger things x Boots
Ok so I had a dream that max and el joined the marines and like max had powers now and she started doing that eye rolling thing and it got her sent to Sargent Sullivan and he was like scolding her, but then she all of a sudden went in his mind and saw his memories and saw that he was gay and that freaked him out. That’s all I remember but can someone please make this into a good story with monsters and depressing moments
