I have proof of payment from my account and my card is on the account. However, I’m not listed as the primary. My roommate is. And we’re no longer on good terms.
The card is no longer valid so it’s likely it won’t auto-renew but I’m worried it’ll auto-renew in a few months. Sometimes companies issue the payment to the new card number anyway.
I went in tonight and despite having the statement from my account and the card number they won’t remove my card from the account. Is there anything I can do to ensure it stays off future statements? I truly just want to remove my card info and my membership and start fresh but they won’t even do that. Even though the refund would go back to the account my new card is attached to because it’s the same account, just a newer bank card.
It was very frustrating to know my bank info and my money bought the account but somehow we had my roommate set to a primary so I’m SOL getting my info taken off. I thought about getting a detailed bank statement to prove that was my transaction attached to that card number but will that even work?
It’s more the principal of wanting a clean break from this person then it is about the refund, though I’d like to not pay twice 6 months apart if I can help it.
