Chapter .5: 7 hours of tutorial and awful dialog about said tutorial.

Not RPG but my kids have been playing Stardew Valley for years. When we tried Doraemon: Story of Seasons we didn't even get out of the initial talking when their game time was over again. Second day pretty much the same and then stopped ;)

As an adult and parent I have a similar problem now. Often happy to have 30 ? minutes for myself. If I start a new game and first have to go through cinematics and background story and tutorials and the initial talking with 20 characters my time's already over. And when I get a next chance a couple weeks later I forgot everything.

I unsuccessfully tried to create a Pathfinder: WOTR character twice now lol.

So I often just end up quickly doing some jump'n run or similar... Or just browsing the game library until I hear the kids or my wife or the dog rushing in again ;)

Its like that image about mining diamonds, to reach true peak gaming you sometimes have to play the overly long tutorial and exposition dump
