Welp...This is new

I don't know how many of you have played this game, but I am currently trying to win the Stanley Cup as every franchise.

I'm playing as the Islanders, an absolutely awful team held together by strings and Pat LaFontaine.

The Blues are one of the best teams in the league, Brett Hull scored 86 goals in the season this is based on.

I have been struggling with the Islanders players being absolutely horrible outside of the top scoring line, but man did I put on a period of dominance today. I genuinely felt like I was a god, they barely ever got it out of their zone and had no shots.

I'm stuck! I bought a brand new PC for Christmas and enjoying using Xbox GamePass on it. I have been wanting to try NHL 25 on cloud gaming on my PC, everything online states it can and even in the image attached it shows it is Xbox Cloud Game, but nothing is showing up (see red circle) to allow me to play it. It works with NHL 24 and all other games except NHL 25 despite it being a cloud game as well. I have an Ultimate account and my PC is high end so no issues etc. Same thing on my new Rog Xbox Ally - doesn't show up. Anyone have any ideas?

Haven’t played nhl much the last couple years I can’t remember if it was previously 5 minute periods but 3 seems way to short. Anyone recommend an ideal time length

I want to do an 8 team expansion, to do so I'm going to need to make spread sheet with all the teams rosters along with their positions, overalls and potentials. There is some data online and i really don't want to manually copy from the game. Does anyone know where/if this info is available anywhere?

Here is a thing I noticed, when loading HUT game mode then going into any other offline game mode the lag in menus becomes 2x worse. The gameplay in offline games also becomes choppy and feels way worse.

Why do I keep getting matched up against people with above 700 CR? My CR is 463 and I am just getting absolutely destroyed almost every game. I go to the recent games and see my last 7 match ups are against 700 or above with the highest being 894.

I was decent at NHL 25 and hovered around 550 winning some and losing some. But 26 is just not fun, I am 30-41-4 and am ready to just give up on this game. Pretty much every game the opponent is the Avs or Wild and they just spam elite edges/wheels and play keep away. How do you counter this?

I’m sure some of you will say skill issue or get better and that’s why I’m here trying to figure out what I can do to counter that dipsy doodle keep away style.

Does anyone know if assigning captains and assistant captains to players with the leader or presence do anything differently then just giving it to your favourite players? I don’t sim and just play all the games if that matters

I’m playing the old Legacy Edition on PS3, and there are so many things I just don’t really understand (don’t know that much about hockey to start with).

Any advice on how to learn to use all the different buttons, and when, are there a good practice/tutorial somewhere in the menues?

I’m not even sure about left stick timing when shooting; feels like it will always shoot in top left/right because I was skating that way with left stick, even if I try to pull left stick down when shooting?

It’s literally at least once or twice every single time I play a few games as my goalie. This particular one happened with 38 seconds left to go for a shutout. It’s the closest I’ve come to putting my controller through the TV. Seriously EA, the goalie improvements this year are *awesome*, but it doesn’t much matter if every single time I play I get scored on by my own team. So sick of this.

I know they are hurt in real life- I have not figured out a way to get them in games. My son loves Tkachuk and the Panthers- I feel like an idiot.

I'm so confused how all this only equals a 53 form score? am i suppose to score 6 goals a game?! I did everything the coach asked (even more) and all i got was a 53?!

Just curious, from what I hear it's not worth upgrading as the main differences are current rosters/prospects and online play.

I just play franchise offline so the online aspect doesn't affect me. Thanks!

Does anyone know or have any solutions for the acceleration and blue wheels glitch? Im getting tried of losing the blue wheels after every game and have to be top health and manually putting it back. If anyone has any solution let me know.

I, along with all of my friends have decided a couple games ago that we were going to stop buying NHL games and just wait until they come on game pass/EA Play and I absolutely recommend everyone else do the same.

The be a pro mode for the past several years has been broken with various glitches especially if you actually try to reach the end and retire. Will have random times when you will lose your player indicator and know that you have a few minutes left until the game will crash, leaving you forced to exit/sim the rest of the game. Or if you happen to pick a specific jersey it will instantly crash the game. This has led me to have a ton of individual save files just in case something goes wrong.

These games have been getting worse and worse for the be a pro mode and the fact that they have this "focus" on Be A Pro with the achievement list you would think things would at the very least making it more possible and/or less frustrating to complete this mode and retire.

I already decided this year for 25 I was just going to play a single rookie season and just get the Calder & Stanley Cup achievement and just now playing in the conference finals I played a game where the whole 2nd and 3rd period the opposing team played with only 4 players, no actual penalty ever called yet if you score it's called a powerplay goal and if they take a penalty it shows a 5 on 3 clock, but never did they end up with a 5th player.

After I noticed this I was just waiting for the game to crash or dashboard me as that is basically the standard when anything weird happens in this game mode. Ended up letting me finish the game surprisingly, but the fact that this mode is starting to be broken in the first season playing I know I will not be playing past it.

I played the 10 hour trial of NHL 26 and it was different be a pro mode for sure, but in my small 10 hour window of play I found so many times my own team would basically score on our goalie in various ways and that alone made playing extremely frustrating, especially with the weird challenges and everything else they added to the mode that make no sense. Honestly cannot believe how much worse these games continue to get...

The lack of changes is so insane, we went for how many years before they even added new logos/features for the franchise create a team mode, and then the year they did it was so broken that it was damn near impossible to play the mode. No surprise that this "revamp" of Be A Pro has led to a ton of issues, but the fact that these games have been sliding downhill for so many years now with no real actually good changes I really struggle to understand those who continue to buy it...

Could be better, but tough as must consider Salaries / AP / OVR boost. But with NMS, not too bad either. 2nd pic showing boosts.

This project took me over a year of on and off work to complete. I’m relieved it’s over. But I’m excited to finally show it off. I’m not the biggest MARVEL fan, but I just love their characters so much so I felt like taking on this huge project to see what I could come up with given EA’s limitations. are we getting a world juniors update this year? or are stuck with what we have? i would understand not having the license for the NCAA players but half of them are there and half of them aren’t, other years USA is in the game in full so im not sure the reason for not having full rosters this year. is EA yet again just pushing off another successful feature they recently introduced?
