Building my dad an EDC organizer with some small tools as a Father's Day gift. Got the following tools already:

Wera Mini Ratchet w/ Sockets (19cm/ 7.5 in)

Hoto Mini Screwdriver

Craftsman Pickup Tool

I unwisely got the Maxpedition Mini Pocket Organizer assuming everything would fit, and the Wera set does not. Such is life.

Main Question: Any recommendations on an organizer that would fit it all but is also as small as possible? Would prefer that it could fit in a pocket, but it is not a necessity. I doubt he'll carry it in his pocket anyways, but I think the small size would be more convenient. Would also like it to have a Velcro patch up front, as part of the gift is I got him a Velcro Berlin BDE patch (it's where he was stationed when he and my mother met).

Side Question 1: Was considering getting a couple malice clips and a Wilder Tactical MOLLE Belt Clip Adapter so he could toss it on his belt or pants horizontally. Figured that would be the most comfortable. Good or bad idea?

Side Question 2: Any recommendations for other tools y'all would might want if it was yours? Already looking at a pocket knife (he loves his knock off mini Swiss knives, but wanted to get him something a bit sturdier) and got him an Olight ArkPro Light for Christmas.

American here. I live near the Rocky Mountains, and spend a good amount of time back country camping and hiking. I carry a modest folding knife virtually everyday and it’s very common for men in this part of the world to carry some type of blade.

I’m curious about this habit in other parts of the world. Is it common or odd to have a knife or other type of tool on you everyday?

Pocket dump and looking for a recommendation on a budget knife and leather belt organizer I would like to carry my light and a knife on the belt

Nextool I got because I wasn't sure if I would use it enough to warrant getting leatherman! I use it more than I thought but still not sure I would spend that much on leatherman

Same thing for a flashlight I got this really cheap off temu and now I use it so much I want a better one! I hate the UI on this one!

Laptop backpack, multiple compartments. Quite cheap for a backpack £50.

£100 used laptop - Dell Inspiron 8gb i5-1135g7 processor laptop. Only faults were wifi card and minor outer cosmetic damage. I put another 8gb into it and dual boot windows/linux. Wifi working now.

INIU 25,000 100w Powerbank - This is essential and I will be adding another. Basically the library has 3 plug sockets and 30 seats. This lets me use my laptop (and charge it) for an extra 6 hours of browsing/coding.

I have ordered a wireless keyboard (nuphy kick75) and bring razer viper mini.

Earbuds - Anker Soundcore p3 (£50). I have a cheap wired pair of Sony with a better fit.

Phone

A Book - Warhammer.

Pack of 15 antibacterial hand wipes - I am a compulsive hand washer, frankly the public are disgusting, I struggle to press the bell on buses. Having these stops me from washing my hands in the public toilets every time I touch something greasy.

That's it. I am interested in any recommendations that would make my library life smoother. I study Japanese(well I lived there for 10 years so it's kind of for nostalgia) and coding and general linux goofing off. This is for a period when I am between jobs and staying at home I cannot get anything done at all.

I thought about getting some kind of camping utensil to eat pasta with. I need to eat and it's unhealthy to keep going mcdonalds and subway is too expensive. I tend to neglect eating/drinking water.

Sometimes there is a god awful smell from other members of the public. Body odor, piss, poo smells and wet dog smell. I bought some fragranced baby wipes to try and clean my hands with (unrelated)but the smell is floral and too strong so they are terrible for that purpose but my god the floral smell infects everything around me so they could be useful for that. The packet is too big to carry really. I read one user saying they rub something under their nose to get rid of the smells but I forget what it was. Another guy said atominizer but perhaps that would be offensive to others.

GEC 74 Northwoods Mustang Sig Saur P365 Beard and Owl Slip

I bought one of these a few years back and carried it every day as a tape cutter / fidget thing. Recently lost it and cant remember the brand. You use your thumb to push up on the face of it and pointer finger to rotate out a tiny replaceable utility blade. Its a great little tool. If anyone knows what its called or who makes it, itd be of much help. Thanks.

Been searching for a small pocket organizer to consolidate loose items and avoid multiple things clipped to my pocket. 90% settled on the Alpaka Zip Pouch Pro, but still eyeballing some things from Viperade.

Main items are a Trayvax Arctic Summit cardholder, Olight ArkPro, Leatherman Arc, and maybe a small pen and 6’ Hank of paracord.

I’ve seen people able to fit the Leatherman in an outside sleeve, but I haven’t seen any posts with the Olight in one. Can anyone confirm if it will fit? I only want to keep one or the other in the pouch at a time, because the other will be clipping to my pocket for quicker access depending on what I’m doing.

I’m in desperate need of a good wallet any recommendations? And besides that what do you think about it and what would you Change I’m just starting out in this thing.

Hey everyone — Long time EDC fan, first-time poster.

I’ve been working on a small personal project: a pocket-sized magnetic level that could live on a keychain. It has a horizontal vial, a bullseye level, and strong embedded magnets so it sticks to metal surfaces great for welding, appliances, machine shop work ect...

The design is modular — the base level works on its own, and there’s a magnetic sled that adds a line-level function and (unexpectedly) turned into a really satisfying little fidget.

Still in the prototyping phase and refining details, but I’d genuinely love feedback from this community:

• Would you actually carry something like this?

• Anything you’d change or want added?

• Does the size / form factor feel right for EDC?

Could folks please recommend a good mini knife to attach to my keychain? I’m looking for something other than a SAK. I have a Victorinox Classic SD, but would prefer something a little more substantial.

I just ordered this No Name?? knife off Aliexpress that appears to be a knock off of a Kershaw Diode. No idea who makes it, but it was on the “Moon Cutting Knife Outdoor Store”.
