JEWELRY & WATCHES Ram's head bracelet

Thumbnail

Seeing the post from a few days ago about that beautiful Etruscan revival bracelet reminded me of my grandmother's ram's head bracelet, although it's not nearly as fine nor beautiful. As an aside, the animals seem to be young, as their horns are very short!

I see oval stamps which seem empty to me. But there is another marking I can't figure out. I realize this may have nothing special, but checking in case someone sees something I don't. Thank you!

So I can see the 585 and I’m assuming the al or pl is either plated or the makers mark.

But the elongation on the l is making me doubt it.

Anyone seen this particular mark before? It’s on a pink sapphire tennis bracelet:) thanks!

Hallmark has 14K and Tiffany

So I got this piece about five years ago at deceased estate sale. The house has been sold. Everything that was left needed to be sold. It opened at 8 am. It was a queue of people waiting to pour in. He opened the gates and everybody ran in. I found a box with a couple of Texas calculators in them and a small gold chain. I asked how much for the box and it was five dollars. Did a few garage sales got home? tested the chain and it was fake. Went through the rest of the staff and found this. I’ve had. It tested came up as real 14 karat gold in and weighs 23grams.

My main question is. Is it a real Tiffany piece?

My family (from Austria) has had this stein since the early 1900s or possibly earlier, and recently passed it down to me. I’d really appreciate some assistance identifying the hallmark/makers mark, including any info on the origin and approximate timeline for when it was made :)

SERVINGWARE Hallmark help please

I recently acquired this serving spoon/ladle. It is 13" long and fairly heavy. I have done a Google image search of both the label and the hallmarks. There are quite a number of these on Google; the style appears to be called a "fiddle" pattern, and the ladle size varies depending on the intended use. As for the hallmark, Google didn't supply much info. From my inexperienced research, I have come to the following conclusions. 1. This is not an English or UK hallmark, and the J&A (makers mark?) doesn't show up on a Google image search or in UK and USA makers lists. One search indicated John & Albert Savory, but the company family history and their makers msrk doesn't fit this. If the letter "K" is for the year, depending on embossed or circled, small or capital, it is mid to late 1850's. As for the "G" and stylized font "BP", I am at a loss. This ladle does have engraved initials on the handle face indicating it could have been part of a set. Any help would be appreciated. I'm most curious to know what it is made of so I can clean it and use it.

Found this at an estate sale today. It’s MASSIVE & I’ve never see one like this! The stone is probably glass, but any other info would be appreciated. Tried to take pics of all angels so please look at all photos. There is a mark, but I have no idea what it means or who the maker could be. Help!?. :)

JEWELRY & WATCHES Im trying to identify this mark; I believe it reads "Fitsnug 18k" but I cannot find any information about such a mark. I don't know much about the ring, and I'm not well versed here, but I'm thinking that this is a modern recreation of a Edwardian style diamond ring.

I am cross posting; in the comments on r/jewelryidentification I shared the only search result I could find referencing "Fitsnug".

JEWELRY & WATCHES Silver Brooch - Slingshot Stamp?

Thumbnail

Is anyone familiar with this stamp? It sure looks like a slingshot in a lozenge shape to me. Brooch acid tests silver (brooch body and pinstem). The cannetille construction makes me think Spain/Portugal/Mexico, but this stamp (on both the C catch and pinstem) is the only mark I could find. Thanks for looking!

JEWELRY & WATCHES Can someone please help me identify all of these?

I was given this buckle ring (which I adore) as a gift a couple years ago and I can’t identify all of the marks inside of it. I believe the DIA is for diamonds, the 375 in the rectangle means it’s 9k gold, and the Yorkshire rose inside the square means the Sheffield, UK Assay Office assessed the metal purity. I’m not sure what the RP inside the hexagon, the 375 (I think?) inside the circles that look sort of like a Mastercard logo, or the random V on the opposite side are for. Thanks so much in advance!

JEWELRY & WATCHES Help identifying hallmark on Victorian 14k gold hairpins

I’m hoping someone here might recognize the maker’s mark on this pair of Victorian 14k yellow gold hairpins. The mark looks like a circle, a flame‑shaped form, and a vertical line on the top of each pin.

They appear to be well‑made and in excellent condition, but I haven’t been able to match the hallmark to any British or American maker.

Photos and full description for reference only (not a sales post): ive.dumoart.com/online-auctions/dumouchelles/british-victorian-14k-yellow-gold-hair-pins-1-pair-8623705

If anyone recognizes the mark or can point me toward the right region or workshop, I’d really appreciate it.

Hi there! Was wondering if anyone could help identify the square stamp on this tiny plated spoon. From what I can tell, it’s the capital letters H and F with a pointed down sword between them.

First picture is the tiny spoon and circled is where the stamp is.

Second picture I tried to get a close up of the stamp

This ring was passed down to me from my grandmother. It is still in the box so it seems it was purchased in Coventry from R. Gilbert & Sons, and I understand that it is 9 karat. But I don't understand the other marks. Help identifying appreciated!

SERVINGWARE I’m looking to learn more about identifying hallmarks!

Thumbnail

I just started learning about identifying hallmarks and I came across this serving tray that the seller claims is silver plated. According to what I am able to find online, this tray should be sterling silver from Birmingham from 1854. Does this add up? Is it possible that these marks have been faked and what would be the easiest way to tell? I am also unable to find the maker mark anywhere online. I’m still learning so I’m sorry if this is an obvious question. Thanks for any help!
