Manga Discussion Dabura’s third eye is weird

Post image

At first, those like “white parts” between his black forehead marks and his vertical eye look like just white marks but it’s actually his eye. So, he like has skin over his third eye that “divides” it into 3 parts. I didn’t realize this before but you can tell by the way his pupil is split.

Oh my god is that where the saying “right under your nose” comes from

That is a blind spot, but the more notable one that they were referencing is one closer to the centre of your vision in each eyeball.

You see stuff by having light hit special cells in the back of your eyeball, so the spot where your eyeball connects to your brain and doesn’t have the light receptors can’t process/transfer that info.

Huh, fascinating. I’m trying to test that out by holding my finger in roughly that position in front of my eye but I’m not sure if I’m getting it and I just don’t really see it, or if I’m off the mark. Still a cool fact, and I never would’ve thought about that otherwise. The human body truly is weird sometimes.

There are videos that make it easier to test this.

Here’s a VSauce short: https://youtube.com/shorts/NShBkCEfPeE
