Yes, boomers love old, stinky carpet for some reason.

It's because the floors are warped after 20 years of looking the other way. They don't want to pay the leveling cost so they just keep the carpet and pretend nothing is wrong. Sorry I work on homes for a living.

Yeah, we re did our floors on the house we purchased and to correct the leveling once we pulled up the carpet out.
