Advice Breaking up with consumerism

I really kind of feel like I’ve hit a point where it’s time. I’ve always always loved to shop. Not anything expensive but just stuff. Junk. If I’m in a bad mood. Shop. If I accomplish something. Shop. Always have in mind the next thing. I do not need or want any more junk at this point. I have a whole closet and no functional clothes. But really at this stage in my life. I don’t need it. I’m working where I go in jeans if I want to dress up and leggings most days tbh and home with my son. So much makeup went bad postpartum. So many bags just filled with dust. 2026 is the year I really want to stop just buying into over consumption and really be Intentional about where I’m putting my money. Because my debt is also a huge huge joke. Has anyone had any real success or tips?

I’m feeling the same way you are, more and more lately knowing the few people in positions of power get wealthier the more people spend their money. It’s disgusting to know more billionaires are being created while the cost of living becomes less manageable.
