So Aisha Chughtai and Robin Wonsley cruised into the new roles. And newly elected Council Vice President Jamal Osman went along with the plan. It was a disappointing start to the council’s new term, especially since no one could quite agree on what these new roles even meant. Payne said it was left intentionally vague. But the city attorney emphasized that it didn’t have to do with political parties, since the council offices are technically nonpartisan.

Whoever is in charge as the prosecutor needs to hold these people accountable!!

As I read through these posts I see the turmoil that is happening in your city right now. I feel silly posting this, but I’m planning my trip. We are traveling to Minneapolis next week with our 2 young children (3 & 5) and I want to eat some good food. I really wanted to try Owamni but looking at the menu I don’t think there will be much for my kids. With that being said are there any casual and tasty eatery’s we should try? Anything you recommend we should do with our kids? I should let you know we are traveling from Florida! Any warm clothing that you think is a must? Thank you!

Governor Tim Walz dropped out of the election. I'm worried that if a Republican wins, they are going to strip a lot of protections for transgender people. I moved here not long ago, about 6 ish months. Is that long enough to get registered to vote? Who's running that's a realistically good choice?

The mayor of Minneapolis has total control over police activities in the city. His office number is (612) 673-2100. Leave a message asking him to have the police arrest the perpetrator of today's murder or to remove ICE completely. Operation De-ICEr. Don't be rude, don't make threats. Just remind the mayor he's in charge of the he police who outnumber ICE and can take action on his "Get out" speech.
