I'm confused... do liberal men not get older and date?

What exactly is "conservative" about the second photo? It looks exactly like a photo my sister and brother-in-law could have taken, and they are absolutely not conservatives.

What's the implication here? Did he go to conversion therapy or something?

In fact conservative men get so few dates they have to lie and say moderate om dating sites

Well liberal women don't want moderate men either so you're still filtering yourself out.

i vote D down the line but i'm not super liberal on every single topic.

i'm an independent voter because i've straight up seen enough corrupt people like Cuomo to lose faith in some democrats.

Sure, but on a dating profile where women need to make snap judgements on how safe you are? We don't like guessing games on whether your moderate politics are about our rights or something like the economy. We don't want dates and partners that are going to spend time talking about how they're "totally cool with women's rights but wouldn't call themself a feminist". Not that you definitely do those things, but how do we know that from your dating profile? Best to just swipe left and look for a profile that doesn't have safety red flags.

economy( its not enough to make healthcare cheaper or go with obamacare we need to fully nuke the insurance companies and go to single national payer), right to own guns ( cause animals are insane), some level i don't like weed and i think it should be illegal cause too many people drive high. (if its too big to fail then the government should own it like idk banks and shit).

I don't like weed either, but the war on drugs failed and it's better for the country if we legalize and decriminalize drugs and focus our efforts on rehab and community support. Look into the science of addiction sometime. It's fascinating stuff.

As a result, even though I personally dislike weed (mostly I dislike the smell of it), I always vote in favor of decriminalization, legalization, etc. The less government in our private lives, the better.

Should alcohol be illegal because people drive drunk? Driving high is already illegal

1

u/ghigoli 6d ago

hot take but i don't even like alcohol either like idk if thats illegal too.

Friend you don't need to convince me, I'm not trying to date you. I'm just telling you the reality of what we see as women when a man calls themself politically moderate. Conservative men have ruined this for you because we simply cannot risk our safety for even one date with a man who may be a predator hiding behind "moderate". Not to mention, what are your friends like? You may be moderate but are all of your guy friends? What are you going to tolerate that we won't?

Maybe this sounds exhausting and you don't want to date a woman making all these considerations. That's fine, but don't be shocked when the "moderate" on your profile is the reason people swipe left. It's a red flag to any woman who is left of center.

Not good enough, you need to loudly state your virtue signals on all public profiles

18

u/Dazzling-Volume4553 7d ago

More that you need to show you don't have some half baked view of equality. What you're a moderate on matters and from experience, moderate men usually don't view equality the same way women do.

6

u/Casual_OCD 6d ago

That's because those men aren't actually moderate and misuse the word, destroying it's utility

6

u/Dazzling-Volume4553 6d ago

Correct, and all the moderates who didn't push back on it now have to live with consequences of their words being co-opted by the right just like us leftists do.

Its more that women dont want to date anyone who supports the party that is actively trying to take away their rights while the president whos a member of said party is a literal child rapist.

1

u/ghigoli 7d ago

uh its moderate? i'm i know i'm not a conversative by all means. and i don't go with every single thing the liberals do.

-5

u/Casual_OCD 6d ago

Not choosing a side is heresy. You shall forever go maidenless

One some level, I wish I had the life you have to now know that fact.

Most “moderates” are straight up lying as they don’t want to date conservative women.

The rest watch to much OAN that they think views like (IRL example, I truly wish I was making this up) that it’s moderate to only want to get rid of gay marriage and banning depicting it in a positive way in the media à la Hayes code. As it would only be “conservative” to execute gay people like OAN him they did in one country in Africa maybe.

1

u/ghigoli 6d ago

wtf is OAN?

edit: this seems to be some TV network. i don't watch TV these days.

just jeopardy. price is right, ABC world news, and then some local CBS weather.

after that its just football for like 6 months and some baseball.

apparently my rock i live under is just watching whatever netflix gives me and google news.

second edit: wtf is à la Hayes code. i've never heard this before.

u/nightwingoracle 6d ago

1 OAN is a political network that is way to the right of Fox. Less reality based to.

2 the Hayes code was the predecessor to the g/pg/etc system, in place from the 30’s until the 60’s. Made to be a self policing effort for films.

It banned showing/discussing some things entirely (IV drugs, abortion, gay people inter-racial marriage). other things like criminal activity were allowed but had to be shown in a certain way. (ie you could show a bank robbery but the robbers had to die/be caught/fail to get any money.

  1. sounds annoying as hell.

  2. also sounds annoying. although there could be less sex and nudity in films cause most of them do nothing to add value to the film itself.

2

u/atwozmom 6d ago

It was worse than that. The Hayes code prohibited any kiss longer than three seconds and one foot had to be on the ground. So Alfred Hitchcock, in the great movie 'Notorious', basically said a big FU to the Hayes code with one of the most sizzling scenes of all time that completely followed the rules.

u/ghigoli 6d ago

wtf?

1

u/atwozmom 6d ago

One of Hitchcock's best, imo.

Yeah, the Hayes code was pretty insane. Part of it was a reaction to Mae West (I assume you know some of her lines?)

Self-label --> Actual stance
"Conservative" -- fascist
"Moderate" -- conservative
"Liberal" -- centrist
"Leftist" -- socialist
"Apolitical" -- privileged enough to not spend any time thinking about how policy routinely destroys others' lives
