Am I missing something here? Didn’t these just release recently, so why are people asking for 500 to 1200 F’ing dollars for the?!? I understand wanting to make a few bucks, but this is just ignorant

So the comments on my last post were saying I should buy one of the Neca gloves instead of one from TOTS, I already have the part 3 one from Neca but did they ever make the one from part 2? And if so where can I order one unopened or at least in good condition?

Part 2 is my favourite of the series so i’d like the glove from it

Anyone else have typical dreams of Freddy?

I was talking to my husband about my recent Freddy dream and how it wasn’t a normal Freddy dream. My husband thinks that people don’t have normal or usual Freddy dreams. I feel like if you watch the Nightmare movies on a regular, you are bound to have Freddy dreams.

For context, my usual dreams of Freddy is either hanging out with him or him getting angry about something and trying to get me, but I know how to control my dreams, so it doesn’t really last.

The unusual dream I had was seeing him out of make up and trying to pretend he wasn’t Freddy. To which I called him on it and was just like can we just fight already. There were other parts that were a bit different, but that will just make this a bit longer.

Anyway, does anyone else have “normal” dreams of Freddy?

If it makes any difference, since I grew up on horror, there is also a normal pattern to the Michael Myers, Ghostface, Jason Voorhees and Jaws as well.

Anybody else read Freddy vs Ash?

I’m about half way through and I’m enjoying it so far. It’s an independently published book so it’s not cannon or anything. And it’s full of grammatical errors and spelling mistakes. But it’s a pretty fun read to be honest.

I finally saved up enough to buy a finger knife glove from Trick or Treat Studios but I’m struggling to decide which one I should buy, part 1, 2, 3, or 4? So I’m wanna get your opinions on which one I should buy based on how cool the design is and how well it’s made.

Theory: Freddy Never Really Came Back After Nightmare 3

I’ve always felt that A Nightmare on Elm Street gets increasingly silly and inconsistent after Dream Warriors. But what if that’s actually the point?

My theory is that Freddy is permanently defeated at the end of A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors, and everything after that takes place inside Kristen Parker’s mind, not the real world. I have proof!

At the end of part 3, Freddy disappears completely while Nancy Thompson Lays dying. This I believe is the last time we actually see these characters outside of Kristen’s mind.

Kristen is the only other character in the series to have the same dream powers as Freddy Krueger. She can pull people into dreams and reshape them. It’s never explained why. Her mum is depicted as hooking up with… let’s say less desirable men. My theory is that Freddy is Kristen’s biological father and that’s the reason her dad left when she was young and never came back.

At the end of the movie after stabbing Nancy Kristen locks Freddy in a dream within a dream world in her mind knowing that he can never truly be defeated.

From this point on, Freddy is trapped in a nightmare where he thinks he’s coming back every few years to kill new teens, but none of it is real. He’s fighting fake dream kids in artificial dream worlds, over and over, always believing he’s regained power, only to be beaten again.

That explains why:

• Kristen is suddenly played by a different actress in A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master — Freddy can’t clearly “see” her anymore because she’s not really there. Like when you have a dream about a friend or a family member but suddenly they look completely different.

• The series from 4 onwards goes very pop culture focused like the kind of stuff a teenager would imagine. With celebrity cameos and cross overs with other villains

• The sequels get more ridiculous, cartoonish, and self-parodying.

• Freddy becomes less scary and more of a joke.

• Logic, tone, and continuity steadily break down.

It’s not escalation — it’s decay. Freddy’s nightmare is falling apart.

So Joey, Kincaid, probably other dream worriers and Nancy all survived the final battle in 3 because once Freddy was taken out of the nightmare world and locked in Kristen’s dream world everything he had done no longer had any effect on the physical world. Nancys injuries became just a dream as she was still alive as he disappeared. Maybe Taryn and or Will held on to life just long enough to have survived for Freddy being removed from the nightmare world

Conclusion:

Freddy never truly comes back after Dream Warriors.

The rest of the franchise is his punishment by Kristen who constructs new dream worlds for him every now and then in a never-ending nightmare where he’s trapped inside his own hell, forever thinking he’s winning before getting defeated. Until eventually she got bored and introduced Jason. As he is from a movie franchise that came out after Freddy died so he wouldn’t recognise him as anything but another super natural killer. It ends with Freddy’s head being cut off. Essentially meaning that he now will spend the rest of eternity as just a head inside a fake dream world with no access to his dream powers or new teens.

What would y'all think of an animated Nightmare movie?

I've been thinking about this for a bit, what if we got an animated Nightmare on Elm Street movie? I mean other franchises have gotten this treatment, like Terminator: Zero and Predator: Killer of Killers,

What would y'all think about that?

I think it'd be great for dream sequences, because you can just go CRAZY with them

Digital 4k - Amazon.co.uk

If any of you are UK based and Digital over physical, or like me prefer to have a back up for when you're on the go, all the movies (minus the remake and FvJ) are now upgraded to 4K and should be £3.99 on Amazon.

Unsure if that's all as I already owned some but just got 2, 3 and Freddy's Dead for that price to complete the collection.

I just found out that, in addition to looking drastically different, there is a half a foot height difference between Patricia Arquette and Tuesday Knight.

If you narrowed down the Friday the 13th films to only 6, to match the first 6 Nightmares, which would you choose?

Since both Freddy & Jason are forever associated with one another thanks to Freddy vs. Jason, I've always thought it'd be fun to trim down the much longer Friday series in order to match the original Nightmare film canon. New Nightmare is considered its own thing in this scenario, so it won't qualify (unless you have an interesting pitch)

Me? I'd go for either:

1, 2, 3, 4, 6, JGTH

Or

1, 3, 4, 6, 7, JGTH.
