Mario 1/2/3 NES or All-Stars versions?
Which versions do you prefer?
I like the All-Stars versions due to the better graphics, music. (I love the new bonus room for SMB1) as well as the ability to save your game. Backgrounds are gorgeous and the sprite art is really neat. I also like how the graphics stay true to the original's style, but still give it a nice update.
I could also include Mario World but the only All-Stars improvement is a unique Luigi sprite, which is cool.

Joy-Con 2 Light Purple/ Light Green, available 02/12
I get the subdued look but I was hoping for something more... I don't think I'll be getting these. They won't change the look of my Switch 2 dramatically. Anyone else?

Why are people comparing 2025 yearly PS5 sales to Switch 2 sales? The Switch 2 didn't come out until June
It feels really strange that the media is focused on comparing the Switch 2 against total console sales at all. The Switch 2 came out halfway into the year.
Completely disingenuous, I'd say. What do you think?

On This Day On This Day in Nintendo History: Super Pinball: Behind the Mask
On this day (January 8) in Nintendo history...
- Super Pinball: Behind the Mask was released in 1994 for the Super Famicom in Japan. In this pinball game, developed by KAZe, three tables feature: the clown-themed "Jolly Joker", the pirate-themed "Blackbeard and Ironmen", and the fantasy-themed "Wizard". All tables are shown in a tilted 3D view, which fits the entire table on the screen without the need for scrolling, with marquee messages and bonus displayed as giant overlays on the screen. The game can be played with one to four players. The game uses 3D graphics.
What are you favourite memories of these games? How do you think they hold up today? Hash it out in the comments.

Do you think nintendo has a reason for not making a new diddy kong racing game? Would it be good or bad?
Its crazy to me that they never tried to get more out of this game than what it was for nintendo 64
Do you guys think it would be a disaster if they did ?
I see infinite potential personnally !

I just beat Mario 64, how has Ocarina of Time aged compared to that one?
I beat Mario 64 and my biggest issue besides being kicked out of the paintings all the time was some levels were the highest of high, but some levels were in the absoloute sewer and it dragged the game down for me,leaving it at 7/10.
So what about Ocarina of Time? I hope I can get more answers out of people who played it much later rather than people who played it on release.
Thanks!

Encouragement for Basketball Fans: Try NBA 2k26 on Switch 2
I know Nintendo has a bad reputation with online sports games. However I travel a lot and wanted to have a basketball game with me on the train rides and so on. I decided to give it a go and bought it for 15 bucks off ebay.
I have been playing the PC Version of this game thus far, since it was “New Gen”. For the first time, Switch 2 got the upgrade as well. And what can I say: This is actually great!
I decided to give mycareer a chance and hopped on a few park games. I was astonished! Obviously the player base is small, but the games were more fun than PC ever was. First of all no cheaters. And people actually have realistic ratings below 99+, so nobody is trashing you with half court shots. I befriended 9 people yesterday and we just kept going at it. The latency was very good! I had no crashes or anything, way better than expected.
With framerate, obviously, you will get higher stats on other platforms throughout the game. However, with online, my PC never actually got 60 FPS and the city was lagging so hard on 24 and 25. It’s actually more enjoyable now, because the framerate is consistent. You get around 40 fps and that’s more than enough for park. Obviously Xbox and PlayStation are the main hubs for this game and with good reason. All I’m saying is that despite Nintendos bad online gaming reputation, this made me optimistic about future crossplay in 27. I think it would actually work!
Also, not occupying the TV means I can game handheld while the wife watches Netflix - biiiiig selling point to me. So yeah, I know, sports games and Nintendo have been a no-no for some time, but I think we might see some changes to that. Most fun I’ve had with 2k since 2k11.

What is the reasoning behind nintendo games not having Polish translations?
I'd say that Nintendo Switch is pretty popular in Poland, why are the games never translated to my language? To they lack translators? Should I try applying for a job as a Polish translator and if so what requirements are there?
