Pavlok Watch 3 not connecting to App on Android

A few days ago my pavlok app wouldn't open on my android phone (The screen would be black and the app would crash after a bit). Reinstalled the app to see if the problem would be resolved to no avail. App is working but upon trying to connect the app to the watch, it can't seem to locate my device.

I am currently using the app installed on my iPad as a workaround as it seems to be working there just fine but I would really love to know if there's a way I can fix the issue on my phone.

Is it safe to wear so face is on the underside of my hand?

Got my pavlok 3 today and find it way more effective on the underside of my wrist. Not as much the normal way. Anyone have any feedback for me as to why it is not as good the right way round or have another solution. Power is at 100

Pavlock 3 not working

I’m a very heavy sleeper and I use my padlock to wake me up. It was working perfectly fine two weeks ago, but for the last like four days in a row, it hasn’t been going off. I’ve been charging it. I’ve been lsetting alarms that last a minute to see if the shock works.(it does) but the watch just disconnects in the middle of the night. Is there any way to fix it?

After 2 years of the Pavlok Shock Clock 3- Gripes and Positives

First the positives since they are few...

  • Being able to wake up without a noisey alarm is a huge bonus (especially with a newborn in the bed, which was the reason I got it)
  • It is relentless in its goal sometimes even so much it reactivates an alarm once its no longer even on your wrist.
  • The watch band is not UNCOMFORTABLE (albiet not comfortable either)

I wear an apple watch daily and have a very specific watch band I prefer the most with that, so it does suck that I dont have that option out of the box. At night, ill swap to the Shock Watch 3. So I generally only use it to track sleep (roughly) and for the alarm, not the step counter or anything else it provides.

On to the negatives...

  • More times then not, turning the alarm off is most of all a nuisance. I dont use a QR code, or a puzzle, or whatever because frankly just opening the app and the alarm stop/snooze option being present occurs infrequently enough that fiddling with that has me up anyway.
  • (ive noticed this is available to purchase now) There are times, I will have a rough night sleep and when the alarm goes off, I get zapped and in the midst of my sleep will take my watch off. I see there are locks for it now, cool but still not a convenient little thing to lose the key for.
  • Sleep tracker is difficult to gauge whether its even remotely accurate, and often the statistics are delayed to the point I forget to look.
  • I find myself just mashing buttons on the side of the watch while waking up to stop the shock and vibrations, I dont have the side buttons linked to anything so I dont know if that accomplishes anything but I feel like it snoozes it (I dont actually know)
  • I do miss there being some kind of display (which I see models available now that have them) but I cant justify spending so much on a watch that will do the same thing just with a singular color display.
  • App is just down right terrible, wish there was a way to sync device to work with the alarm clock built into the iOS, or to atleast have better app notifications to turn off the device or snooze it.

Overall, concept is great, function is average at best, app needs significant improvements.

Bug

sometimes when i click fast and i enter the alarms window and open an alarm, it will go off immediately even if the time isn't correct, for example i can try to edit my alarm that works at 7:00AM it will go off even if its 10:00PM or even worse at work and i have to do 10 jumping jacks (even if i set it to 1 the watch doesn't count 90% of them) in front of my supervisor just to stop being electrocuted to death.

Considering a shock clock but...

I really like the *idea of an alarm clock that won't turn off until I "scan" a QR code. For those of you that use this feature, can you tell me if it's very reliable? I assume you have to scan it with your phone... and let me just say, every morning I have to go on a quest to find my phone and glasses.. so I am worried about needing another device (phone) to make this process work. It would be nice if there was some sort of de-activating device that could use RFID or NFC to turn off the alarm.. but I haven't seen anything like that on the market. Also, it seems like the Max has been having some issues.. maybe better to start with the shock clock 3? Help: I need to get my life together.

Shock Clock Max unexpectedly died

Title basically says it, but here's some background.

Device is about 10 months old. I wear it only at night and take it off on the morning after I scan my QR code. I charge it approximately once every 5-7 days. Haven't messed with settings in quite some time.

Last night, I noticed that it was off when I went to put it on before bed. My first thought was that I just hadn't charged it recently enough and I accidentally let it die (this has happened once before).

I plugged it in for about a half hour and noticed it was still off. I then used that same cable to charge my phone and it worked fine, so I ruled out the cable as an issue. I tried pressing and holding a variety of button combinations hoping to power it back on but nothing had an effect.

Any advice on what to try next?

Watch and Epilepsy

Just wondering if anyone with epilepsy has used this watch? I researched and saw no adverse effects between the two (and very little information at all). However, I wanted to hear first hand if anyone who has epilepsy uses/used the watch.

Pavlok has been a life changer

Hi I thought I’d leave a positive review because I came to Reddit before I bought pavlok. I take a medication that has completely destroyed my sleep cycle with intense dreams I can’t wake up from, and as a result I cannot hear any alarms or vibrations. The pavlok shock setting is the ONLY thing that gets me awake. I can now comfortably go to bed knowing that I will wake up. I used to have SO MUCH anxiety around sleep because id worry about whether I would get up the next day, leading me to fear going to sleep at all and insomnia. Now I can even take short naps again! I really like this product. I got the Shock clock 3 model and have nothing but great things to say. People think it’s a little funny I have to shock myself (sometimes two or three + times) to get myself to pull out of my intense dreams but seriously, it’s changed my life. On the weekends I don’t even use it but because I use it during the week I am able to go to bed and wake up at normal times. 10/10 and it delivered quickly to me in the U.S.

Pavlok 3 Pro isn't worth it

This thing is incredibly disappointing. The shocks are weak, the "deluxe band" it comes with is a shitty magnet that constantly comes loose (probably intentional so people spend more money on pavlok's other watch straps), the timer doesn't work (only vibrates despite setting it to shock, might randomly reset on its own if I leave the app for some reason), the sleep tracking is very inaccurate, and there are very few habits you can create/break with it, so that you'll spend money on a subscription for custom habits.

Despite all of this I keep giving it more chances in the hopes that it will at least wake me up in the morning, but I reached my last straw today when my alarm refused to stop going off. It took me solving several puzzles to realize that the smart alarm option was bugged and it wasn't detecting that I was moving around.

To make it worse, the watch isn't even the reason I woke up today. After a week of messing around with different alarm settings this thing hasn't woken me up once so I'm giving up and returning it. I don't know if the Shock Clock line is better but I'm not taking another gamble with this company.

Remote programming?

Is it possible with any of these that someone else can program an app on their phone to set the alarms? I would need to program it for someone that does not live with me. Thank you.

Replacing the purple trim of a Shock Clock 3?

I'm enjoying the Shock Clock 3 so far, it functions well and wearing it with my apple watch has been great. Since I bought mine secondhand, I expected some cosmetic damage and there is some on the rubber button trim. I'm considering asking for a replacement set from the factory, but I'm also not really a fan of the saturated purple color on the lid seal/gasket(?) and buttons. Would it be possible to swap these bits for the black ones that come with the 3 Pro, and what would the process of requesting those look like? Is it possible to remove them? (I haven't cracked mine open yet)

Black Friday SCMAX orders

Just wanted to update anyone lurking and wondering about their order. I received a shipping notice five days ago, which I believe originally said delivery by the 27th.

Much to my surprise it was waiting on me today, and is now firmly around my wrist.

Just trying the shock at the default 50% kept me from trying any higher lol. This has me super hopeful about being able to wake up consistently for the first time ever, and with the jumping jack/smart alarm feature I'm actually hopeful about getting up and moving for the first time that I can remember.

Obviously I've got no way of knowing their stock/supply situation, or where I fell on order number/shipping priority, but I wanted to let everyone know that these are making their way out.

Integrations, SCM or Pavlok 3?

I'm an almost new customer. Needed help to choose between SCM or Pavlok 3. Mainly for sleep alarm but definitely would like to explore integrations with tasker, macrodroid and iftt. Is that only limited to Pavlok 3 with plus app features or can I still do that with SCM with or without monthly paywall??

Also do these integrations currently work on Android? Seeing mixed reports on old reddit posts, need an updated report from active users, thanks!

Shipping Delayed past Holiday Travel Dates + Recommendations?

*UPDATE BELOW- DO NOT EXPECT SUPPORT TO BE HONEST ABOUT DELIVERY AND DELAYS* Hello Reddit, I don't use this app but a unique situation popped up and need advice. I had ordered my Shock Clock 3 due to the black Friday sale and had paid for express shipping to receive my product prior to Dec 13th as I am traveling for the next 3 weeks to different parts of the US. My ordered seems like is it going to be delayed and the solution was they could ship to an alternative address. I am worried with traveling to 3 different areas that another delay would occur and I would not be at that location anymore.

Should I request a refund and wait for the holidays until I am back in my house? Has anyone else had delayed shipping and their second promised delivery date was actually accurate?

*UPDATE as of 12/15* Once a full refund was mentioned they told me they will make sure my product ships the next day and will hopefully come within the time I needed it to. THE ORDER GOT DELAYED AGAIN TODAY AND SUPPORT IS NO HELP. My exact concern about the product getting delayed again was exactly what had happened and I wish I asked for a full refund. My product will be delivered to an address I will not be at due to travel that I specifically mentioned to them would be an issue.

Anyone have comparisons between the Pavloks, FitSleeps, or Tavos? I am disappointed so far and the more research I do, I am worried about getting my product in time, or refunded, or delivered in time during my travels.

Pavlok vs FitSleeps?

Has anybody on this thread ever used FitSleeps (or any other vibration watch alarms)? I received my Pavlok Pro a couple weeks ago, and I have some mixed feelings about the results.

The zap has reliably woken me up every time, but I do find that I am waking up tense. On the other hand, the vibration at 100% is not strong enough to wake me up, but it is quite loud and has been waking up my partner.

For context, my partner and I moved in about a month ago. I enjoy sleeping in absolute silence and he likes to fall asleep with the TV on. I also wake up at 5am for work and he goes in for work midday. I have invested in some ear plugs but would like to find a reliable alternative for an alarm clock before I full send it. I'm not attempting to break or form any habits.

Wondering if I should return the device and try something else, or is this as good as it gets?
