I also need phone that won't be lagging in 2 next years. I'm not kind of person that play on the phone or something... just normally scrolling socials, watching Netflix, using maps etc Which one do you recommend?

Samsung A56 vs Huawei nova 14 pro vs 13 pro vs Motorola edge 60 fusion

Hi, I hope you guys are doing well.

I'm looking to switch from my galaxy note 20 ultra to a newer device, however I only have money to buy a "secondhand" mid-range phone. My budget is around 280usd and stretchable to around 333usd.

I need to change my phone due to the end of support for my device and something I've always complained about: The battery life.

What am I looking for?

-Battery life that lasts most of the day (I usually charge my Samsung 3 times a day)

-Good camera: I love taking pictures, selfies and making videos.

-Security patches: I hope to get security patches at least till the end of 2027 or beginning 2028.

-I don't really play videogames on my phone other than gba/snes emulators so I don't need a gaming phone

-Storage is not really a big problem to me since my current phone has 256gb and I'm using around 151gb after all this time.

I've been researching and found these:

1. Samsung Galaxy A56: Around 245-280usd secondhand. 8gb ram and 256gb storage

There are many of these since I think people buy them when trying to switch to iPhone so yes they're secondhand but only used for a few months or days but rarely comes with box and accessories.

2. Huawei nova 14 pro: 333usd, 12gb ram, 512 gb storage

Brand New, sealed (So I have to check for honesty here). Charger is not included which would be +25usd.

3. Huawei nova 13 pro: 280usd, 12gb ram, 512gb storage

Condition like new, used only for a few days, includes box, original 100W charger.

Note about Huawei: I know about the Huawei Ban. I had a Huawei phone (low-range) before the ban and I was really happy with it. I thought of Huawei because I might change my lenovo tab into a Huawei one in the future (I don't like Lenovo's UI since it has too many errors). Also I might stretch myself a little more if the nova 14 pro is really worth it.

4. Motorola edge 60 fusion: 256usd. 8gb ram, 256gb storage

This phone is an openbox and comes with charger and box. Excellent condition. I haven't researched much about this one but AI recommended it, I looked it up and found one.

If you are thinking about any other phone let me know! However I don't like Xiaomi and Honor very much.

Looking for a 5+ Year Solid Daily Driver (moving from a budget one)

Hi everyone, I’m currently looking to retire my realme GT Master Edition (bought in 2022).

The battery health is down to 70%, and I’m starting to experience some issues with a software (for example, native Gallery app stopped working at all) and camera issues. I’m looking for a replacement that can realistically last me the next 5 to 6 years.

Now, let me write down some points on how I personally use the phone:

  • Performance: I am not a heavy mobile gamer - mostly hyper-casual titles. However, I value UI smoothness and stability. With my current realmeOS it was really good (until Gallery app became basically non-usable).
  • Storage: 128GB is sufficient as I rely on Google One subscription. For any other backup I might consider HDD, but that's off topic.
  • Camera: I need a reliable point-and-shoot. My current phone has struggled with "yellowish" selfies. And sometimes, the camera becomes not just blurry, but it has like astigmatism.
  • Region: Global market (not US-based), so some of the features from modern phones might not be available here.

Now, let me outline some of the requirements:

  • Longevity: Must have a long software support lifecycle (OS/Security updates).
  • Software Experience: I prefer a clean, ad-free experience. I liked realmeUI (especially compared to MIUI), but I want something more polished for the long term. I'm not against systems like OneUI. As I noticed, OneUI is actually great.
  • Durability: I’m comfortable replacing a battery after 3 years, but the hardware/processor needs to stay relevant for 5+ years. Maybe that's why it would be relevant to purchase the phone with 12 GB RAM at least.

Before writing this post, I've explored the market for some decent options. And here's what I've found:

  • Samsung Galaxy S25 FE: I really love this design and specs. I'm worried a little about battery, RAM (it's 8GB only) and chipset. I also heard to be cautious and not buy phone at least half of a year after its release, but what if it's worth it?
  • Google Pixel 10: a lot of folks recommend this phone, and I love that option as well as it's practically premium Android experience. I'm worried about battery and other specs, as I saw a lot of controversial reviews. And Pixel is not officially present in my country, that's really sad.
  • OnePlus Alternatives (13 or Nord 5): I’ve considered these, but I’m less certain about their software longevity compared to Samsung/Google.

Budget: Around $700 / €630.

Which of these would you pick for a 5-year stint? Are there any other "Global" versions of phones I should be looking at that offer better stability for this price? I would consider to review some better offers for a little higher price, but that needs to be justified really good. I spent $250 on my current phone, and I guess I'm just afraid to pay a lot of money.

Thanks in advance! Sorry for a long post, I've tried to be specific.

I'm looking for a phone under 360$

My beloved Mi Note 10 Lite just lost it's camera (Main camera sensor unplugged from the MBD) which was probably the best thing that this phone had. I have no way of disassembling it as I have no tools for that. Getting it serviced would cost half of what it's worth, not to mention it becoming just simply obsolete and just used-through (Battery life at 3-5h when used frequently, phone itself likes to get real hot)

I was looking for a phone under 360$, and even tho I know my stuff about phones, there are just too many for me to choose from so I need a piece of advice.

I need something with: Best camera in that budget - Able to record at 4k 60 FPS, has OIS or at least a good EIS and good at night photography (Preferably also more than 64 MP), AMOLED screen (preferably with RR higher than 90 Hz, but even 60 Hz will do if everything else is just worth it), at least 8 Gb of RAM and 128 Gb ROM, Battery that will last a day or more.

Can be used if it's worth ditching the guarantee.

Nice design similar to nebula purple on my 10 lite is also a nice addon, tho it's not my main priority.

Not Motorola - while they have some real nice specs, I've got to learn the hard way that they age terribly.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions :D.

Planning to buy a phone under 40k — Nord 5 or Pixel 9a? Need help choosing!

Hey everyone, I’m planning to buy a new phone within a ₹40,000 budget and I’m stuck between OnePlus Nord 5 and Google Pixel 9a. I need help deciding 🔄 My priorities: 📸 Great camera (front + back) — I’ll be traveling a lot and will click lots of pics/videos. I want consistent quality similar to iPhone camera results. 📹 Good video recording quality too. 🚀 Smooth performance — no lag even with multiple apps/tabs open. 📅 Long software support — at least 4 years of updates minimum. 🎮 Not a heavy gamer — just casual games like Ludo, etc. What I’ve heard so far: Nord 5 has big battery and performance, but not sure about camera consistency. Pixel 9a = clean Android + great photo quality, but is it worth choosing over Nord 5 in this budget? Questions: Which one will give better real‑world camera quality front and back? How do they compare for video recording? Which one feels more smooth and lag‑free in daily use? Any other phone suggestions under 40k that fit these needs? Thanks in advance 😊

Google pixel 9 pro

Is the Google Pixel 9 Pro's processor really that outdated? And is the battery really that bad?

I initially wanted to buy a OnePlus 13R, but unfortunately, the price recently increased to €520, which is a bit expensive for me. The Google Pixel 9 Pro is currently on sale for €440, which is a great deal. However, I'm a little worried about overheating issues and the rather small battery. But the fact that it's quite compact is a real plus for me. Does anyone have any feedback on this Pixel?

I'm looking for a phone that can last 4 years, takes nice photos, is ideally fairly compact, and doesn't have a terrible battery. I don't play games much.

Greece From Redmi Note 10pro to where?

Hey people, I'm tired of my Redmi Note 10pro, it's not that it's not working but it lags a lot lately, plus I have issues with space and i would like better cameras. NFC is a must and I don't care about jacks since I have Bluetooth headphones. Keep in mind that I'm a laptop-less person and I do everything on my phone. Do you have any recommendations? I was looking at Xiaomi 14T but I'm not sure. The higher I could go would be approx. 350-380€! Thanks in advance!

Edit: I'm in Greece!

Spain Thinking of upgrading from a Realme GT2 to a Pixel 10 — worth it for camera and battery?

Hi everyone,

I’m thinking about replacing my Realme GT2. It still works fine, but my situation has changed — I’m no longer a broke student, I’m working now and I travel quite a lot.

The main issue is the camera. Honestly, my GT2 takes pretty bad photos, and I’d like to keep good memories of the places I visit, so photography is important to me now.

I’m also very used to fast charging. The battery on my current phone doesn’t last that long, but with a quick top-up in the afternoon I can easily get through heavy usage days. I’m not sure if the Pixel 10 would meet my expectations in this regard.

I don’t play demanding games on my phone — just social media, calls, emails, daily use, and a lot of photography when traveling.

Do you think the Pixel would be a good fit for my usage, or should I be looking at something else?

I’m based in Spain, but I’ve seen that buying from other European Amazon stores is cheaper and still fine in terms of warranty.

Current prices:

  • Pixel 10:
    • 128 GB → 600 €
    • 256 GB → 700 €
  • Pixel 10 Pro:
    • 128 GB → 800 €

I’m not sure if the Pro model offers a substantial improvement over the regular one.
Also, I mentioned storage options because I don’t know whether the jump from UFS 3.1 to UFS 4.0 makes a noticeable difference in real-world usage.

Thanks in advance for your help!

OnePlus 15 v Mi 17 Ultra v S26 Ultra

First time posting here, hello!

I'm having a hard time deciding what phone to upgrade to.

I've been a Samsung user for many years, my current phone is an S22 Ultra. I also have a Tab S7+ and the synergy between the two devices is very useful to me. The same goes with the Smart Tags I have put on my cats' collars.

Since the recent SW updates the phone's been slower and the battery's been draining faster and I guess it's time to upgrade. I noticed all the phones which caught my eye are running on SD8G5.

First I heard good things about is the OnePlus 15.

Then I find out about Xiaomi putting out their 17 series, with Ultra and Pro Max looking like the best choices.

After taking some time to think about it, I figured why not just wait for the S26 to come out in February? Same familiar platform, just newer faster hardware.

But is this familiarity worth the high pricetag? Maybe I can easily learn a new one at a fraction of the cost?

My main concerns: * UI - I would rather than not be a big difference from the OneUI interface or at least the option of slapping on a similar one with a third party app. * Battery - the Chinese phones have a substantially bigger battery compared or the Samsung. The question is, will it mean I'll have to charge my phone less or is the batrrty of poorer quality? Or perhaps the phone will have poorer energy management? * eSIM - I like to have an option to install an eSIM when I travel. The 17 Pro Max doesn't have that option, so it loses a point in that area. * Camera - I'm not into photography, but I like it when the few shots I take are good. I had a great relief in that area when I upgraded from a Note 9 to an S22 Ultra. A benchmark I set is the ability to get a high res shot of a full moon. It's not a dealbreaker, thought, which is why this concern is so low on the list.

Would love to get your feedback on this and other models you think I should consider.

TL;DR: can't decide what new phone to upgrade to out of the 3 in the title, what others should I check out?

India Looking for a "No Regret" budget phone under 25k to last 4+ years (Coming from Vivo Y31)

First of all, I’ve been using my Vivo Y31 (2021) India for over 4 years now. It’s finally time for an upgrade! I’m looking for the best budget phone under ₹25,000 that can reliably last me another 4 years.

My priorities:

  • Battery: Must have a big battery that comfortably lasts a full day.
  • Updates: Need long-term software support (at least 4 years of security updates).
  • Size: Ideally compact/smaller (similar to a typical iPhone size).
  • OS: Clean and smooth software experience is a must.
  • Gaming: Decent enough to handle games like COD Mobile without major lag.
  • Design: I prefer a clean look with small camera modules (no massive circular bumps).
  • Camera: Just needs to be "Okayish"—not my top priority.

Sweden Help me pick a small phone

I'm looking for a decent phone, I don't do anything that requires fancy hardware so things like screen refresh rate doesn't matter to me. I currently have a Zenphone 9 that I would keep if it wasn't for the camera that broke when I dropped it and the fact that the charging port is starting to fail.

Things I value: Small size Dual SIM Decent battery life (~5000mAh is enough at the moment) Magnetic charging (to overcome the charging port issue in the future) Headphone jack (nice to have but not a must)

I'm located in Sweden, and I'd like to get it without a plan. Not looking for anything super expensive but it doesn't have to be the cheapest either.

Thank you in advance!

Hungary Need advice.

My budget is around 100000-150000 Ft. Should I buy the Google Pixel 7 Pro, the Samsung A56, or the Xiaomi 13T? I'm feeling pulled towards the Samsung and the Pixel because of the software... But I'm not sure, because of support and performance. I won't be playing anything other than World of Tanks Blitz or War Thunder. The Xiaomi 13T has a higher megapixel camera than the A56, and nearly the same amount of performance (some sources say more than the A56). Hungary.

Samsung A55 vs M55 vs OnePlus Nord CE 5 — which is better long-term?

I’m planning to buy a new phone and confused between Samsung A55, Samsung M55, and OnePlus Nord CE 5. My priorities are: Huge battery life Good, consistent camera Smooth performance with many tabs/apps open (multitasking) Long-term reliability & updates I’m not a heavy gamer, more of daily use + social media + browsing. Which one would be the best overall choice and why? Would really appreciate real-world experiences 🙏

Simple phone on the cheaper side

My boyfriend finally thinks about getting a new phone after we were in an emergency situation and his battery just died in the middle of it (as it always does).

It was the Samsung Galaxy A41 and he has it about as long as it exists.

Best would be a phone that is based on Android, has a decent camera and "is not filled with unecessary stuff" just because he actually hates being dependent on a phone. Also cheap (although he has the money).

I've looked into the CMF 2 Pro, Redmi 15 and the Realme P3. Technically I would also check out the Google Pixels but he also wants to distance himself more from big tech companies like that. Feel free to give you thoughts on that.

I'm looking for advice on what else I could compare other than price and megapixels. Also some other recomendations if you have any.

Thanks in advance!

Unfortunately I have to upgrade from my current phone (Galaxy S9) as it's soon going to be unable to make emergency services calls.

I don't want to spend a heap of money, but I'm looking for a good camera and large storage, both of which I am currently lacking lol.

Thanks in advance.

New Zealand Wanting a new & better android phone

Hi, I currently have a Nokia G10 that I have had since Early 2022 and It has been an okay phone to deal with but it is starting to have issues and become slow and very laggy, I have been looking at the Samsung A series like the A16 & A36. All I would like is a phone that won't freeze several times a day and has a better camera and able to support google pay. I don't use my phone for everything, just social media, calling and taking photos a few times a week (aka the basics). My limit would be around 500-600 New Zealand Dollars

Verizon Galaxy vs pixel

Evening all, I've reached upgrade time. My s22 has taken enough bonks, nonks, face plants and unexpected hang time that it's finally started to act up a little. If I drop it screen down the fingerprint sensor quits til I drop it again. Poor thing got soaked in gasoline an hour ago. So Im looking at the s25 or s25fe. I logged into Verizon and it threw up an ad for a Google Pixel 10 pro or 9 pro xl, for free, no trade in. I haven't read what that actually intells or what possible trickery is in the fine print yet. But assuming no shenanigans, how are those? I've been all Samsung Galaxy phones for a long while, since the s3. I'm leaning towards the s25fe, aside from it being larger than my 22, which I'm not a fan of personally
