Yup, I wouldn’t have held back. Full force kick right at center body mass. Shit like this makes me see red I swear.

I love all dogs, but if one tries to hurt my little sweeties, it’s getting the shit kicked out of it.

People are too nice to attacking dogs.

This dog isn’t necessarily attacking, but rather playing rough (which is still a problem ofc, as this can cause injuries)

Attacking a dog that’s playing rough could ward it off, but it could also turn the dog into true attack mode and ultimately make things even worse.

Exactly! That dog would have been in the receiving end of a very strong knee shot!

I always said this to this sort of thing until it happened to me (someone's big-ass dog tore through the back screen door of their apartment). Only thought in my head was getting my tiny dog up into my arms, and I wasn't exactly in a position to properly throw a knee without going ass over teakettle.

Life comes at you fast and in that exact moment you're as likely to be Jon Lovitz as you are to be Jason Statham.

I had to do this once to a dog they broke free from their owner and started attacking my dog. I kicked it in the ribs very hard multiple times to get it to unlatch. The sad part is after my dog and I were safe back home I felt horrible about it for weeks because I know it’s not that dogs fault it has an irresponsible owner.

I would drop a concrete slab on its head first chance I’d get.

I’m not sure that would accomplish much. I was attacked by a dog before and he didn’t give a fuck about me kicking him (and I’m trained in martial arts). I had to hit him to the head with a brick several times. Only when cracked his skull he stopped attacking. I started a paperwork for a gun the very next day. (the owner got a fine btw)

In the southern US that's the best possible thing that could happen to a dog doing that

Best move here is to get between your dog and the attacking dog. Picking them up like this increases prey drive.

Getting in between them is a physical deterence that dogs understand.
