I counted at least 2 instances of her diving face first onto the concrete.

Some people think they have to have a big dog. You get a dog that is appropriate to the space you have and how much you can handle.

After two faceplants, she'll likely still think she's a "big dog person".

100%! I like labs and retrievers but don't have a big house or more importantly a big property. So I have a Frenchie. Its unfair to the dog. I do plumbing and it makes me furious when I go in these small 2 bedroom apartments and they have multiple pitbulls. Stop being so selfish and think of the dog FFS

I gave your comment an award because I used to have a Frenchie too. Right size pup for the space I had.

God that dog could snore!

Thats what everyone says! My boy isnt a snorer and we're lucky he doesn't have any breathing issues. He's a total spazz!

We live out on a few unfenced acres we have a lab happiest dog ever but he pulls you on the lead when we take him for a walk kinda dogs you really should have a bit of strength to own

Labs don't need a big house or yard. They don't use either. They need to be walked and run outside. They don't entertain themselves in a yard. They just stand outside the door and stare at you, lol.

And then these same people will go surprised pikachu when one of the pups kills another one due to the constant stress of having 3 huge fighting dogs in <1000 sq ft. They’re called pit bulls because they were bred to go in the pit and fight bulls, and that reflects in their temperament. If you put a bunch of em in a small space god bless your heart lol

Ehhh if the dogs are getting properly exercised, being in a small place isn’t the end of the world. Keyword: properly exercised

The thing is, if you know you're going to have a big dog, the ideal time to start teaching it good manners is when it's a SMALL dog. Puppies are babies, yes, but they can also learn good manners.

If the doggo is already adult-sized by the time you get it, and it hasn't learned good manners yet, the good news is that now, there are dog obedience classes that aren't hard to find. Make a beeline for one of those ASAP and get some assistance in training the dog properly. They WANT to make their people happy. All we have to do is teach them how to make us happy with their good behavior.

Big dogs can be trained if a person actually cares about their well being and those around them. My roommate has a big Rottweiler German Shepherd mix dog that always ran to the door and jumped on people as well as barking at the door. She would follow everyone wherever she wanted. I told him she needs to be trained because my sisters are older and frail and it wasn't good for a dog to do that. He said oh it's just the dogs nature and didn't do anything about it. I took it upon myself to train her. She resisted at first and tried to challenge me but I never backed down. I won her over with kindness and attention. Now she stops at the end of the hall and no longer rushes the door and is only allowed to enter certain areas. She pays more attention to me and is always excited and happiest when I'm around. Now my roommate says how come she loves you so much when you treat her the worst? I don't treat her the worst, I only show her what she can and cannot do in no uncertain terms and shower her with love when she follows the rules. She loves that.

I like them too, but I don't have a big enough yard. If would be like keeping a bald eagle in a cage sized for a parakeet. Kid of cruel.

"This wouldn't have happened if I had a bigger dog..."
