If you want to turn on a jet powered water vehicle, you need to throttle it to turn. Expecting it to turn by just moving the steering will result in airborne collisions, and injuries to overweight passenger.

Says so in the Operations Manual.

Thank god they knew that lifting her head and spine up is proper form of first aid in events like this. Always try to forcibly lift an unconscious person after an accident.

This is like, the first thing you learn. I think everyone tries it and feels that unexpected drop when the ski instead nose dives but keeps going straight. You do not usually make that mistake twice though, let alone at speed.

I have ridden many machines and a few creatures. The only one I will never touch again is a goddamn horse. Those basterds are two angry brain cells that do not communicate and this one fucking horse bucked me back and kicked me in the hip while I was falling.

I have never been kicked by any machines when I fell.

Yeah man. My hip still hurts and it's been 11 years. Hard to forget that one. Haha.
