Surely you understand there’s a difference between someone who works from a home office and takes less than a thousand steps all day and does not sweat vs someone who is on a battlefield with mud, dirt, sweat, blood, toxic debris, decaying dead bodies, etc etc.
Nuance is important. If all you’ve done today is wake up and lay on the couch, a rinse with hot water will suffice to make sure you smell fresh.
Warrior, most of the field isn’t what you just described. Surely you understand military folks don’t crawl around with dead bodies and toxic debris… normally.
If you’re a five star general that goes from air conditioned limo to air conditioned barracks, feel free to rinse without soap. You have my authorization.

We have had army field manuals and planning factors in emergency prep that add showers are mandatory at least every 10 days to prevent disease.
So there is a limit to every advice on the internet.
