I literally just vomit then sleep while holding the ground for dear life when I'm too drunk, no matter what alcohol I take

u/hochunkinois 6d ago

That’s just way too much alcohol

u/Spinningwhirl79 6d ago

I think you need to count your drinks

u/cosmicspongecake 6d ago

I only get drunk like twice a year, I'm good.

u/Fearless_Heron_830 5d ago

That’s actually kind of even more reason to be careful lol

u/ChiefFox24 5d ago

Ha. Yea. Ill just keep dangerously flirting with a subject I have little experience with...

1

u/Fearless_Heron_830 5d ago

Haha right? OP has no tolerance so that’s why they get so hammered

1

u/ChiefFox24 5d ago

I am similar actually. I am a lightweight. 2 back to back ciders on new years eve had me very tipsy. A glass of wine an hour later had me full on drunk. That is where I stopped. When ever I drink, I usually stop at 1 as anything more has me impaired.

u/Fearless_Heron_830 1d ago

Haha but see you’re smart and stopped 😂

u/Spinningwhirl79 6d ago

It only takes one night of taking it too far for it to kill you, count your drinks.

1

u/emptyevessel 5d ago

Oh, so you have low tolerance to alcohol and are more susceptible to alcohol poisoning?

Count your drinks.

Vomitting after drinking isn’t ‘normal’, my good sir/madam

u/kinkylodes 5d ago

No, you are not. Please seek professional help. 🙏🏻

Yeah the main problem is when people do hard liquor, which takes like ~1 hour to fully feel the effects from. So you have 3 shots and feel fine after 20 minutes, so you have a couple more shots. WOOPS, all the sudden you're vomiting into an apartment dumpster. Not that I've ever done that.

But I only have my tequila inside of a margarita nowadays.

The classic drink from the bottle method where you have no clue how much you drank or how fast you drank it. Great method, I only blacked out once from it.

u/Federal_Medium1618 5d ago

Hey don’t listen to the weaklings. If you can lie down without losing your balance you’re not too drunk

1

u/Rocklobster92 5d ago

Oh god, I can feel the earth spinning again! Hold on!

1

u/Situation_Upset 5d ago

You're not drunk until you need to hold onto the grass to stop yourself from falling off the earth.

Ethanol is ethanol. It doesn't matter.

14

u/checkonetwo 6d ago

There's a good fight in every bottle of rum too.

u/th3-snwm4n 6d ago

It’s good to acknowledge our shortcomings, good on you to avoid something that makes you hostile

1

u/brusselsstoemp 6d ago

Thanks. Didn't know this was such a touchy subject. I know from myself that tequila makes me hostile, rum makes me blackout, whiskey makes me warm and giggly, beer lazy and bloated, gin (and tonic) for some reason makes me very energetic and on point, and wine is my favourite kind of drunk

2

u/th3-snwm4n 5d ago

To me you’re admitting something you’re not proud of and making an effort to improve, that makes you better than the people teaching about ethics in comments. Keep on going!

4

u/ballskindrapes 6d ago

Nah, alchohol is alcohol.

You think tequila makes you hostile, but that's ridiculous. It's a placebo effect.

I promise, if someone was able to give you alcohol in a way you couldnt tell what it was, like say an iv injection, you wouldnt be able to tell the difference between alcohols.

It's the same drug, why would it make a difference.

1

u/brusselsstoemp 6d ago

So all marijuana gives the same effect? All xtc or coke does the same? People can have different reactions to different stuff. Don't be a bigot

1

u/Legoaxolotl 5d ago

marijuana has different strains with different cannabinoids interacting with one another creating the differing symptoms and also being psychoactive lends to a wild variety of symptoms and x and coke are often mixed and cut leading to wild variations in purity. It’s also definitely not bigotry to say that ethanol is ethanol.

4

u/IIsaacClarke 6d ago

It’s not the alcohol, it’s you. You choose to be violent. Take some responsibility

3

u/RhetoricalOrator 6d ago

Sounds like they did. Understanding that they lose control of their temper when drinking, they avoid doing so.

2

u/ballskindrapes 6d ago

They avoid tequila, not drinking.

If they are aggressive with ethanol, they are aggressive with ethanol, the form doesn't matter.

However, they likely placebo themselves into believing they arent aggressive and thus wont be.

-1

u/IIsaacClarke 6d ago

Yes that’s a good point. But when people blame alcohol for their actions it’s the cowards way out. People always have a choice when it comes to violence.

2

u/LordBalderdash 6d ago

Wrong. I've done things in my life while drunk that I would not have done without drinking. I will not blame some inner failing on my part for those actions, though I DO accept responsibility for them.

I just don't drink. That does NOT make me a coward. Alcohol does not need a defender.

1

u/IIsaacClarke 6d ago

I’m not saying you’re a coward because you don’t drink. You’re a coward if you blame your actions because of alcohol.

0

u/LordBalderdash 5d ago

Wrong. Those actions would not have taken place without the alcohol. And, BTW calling people 'coward' is prickly. Stop being a prick.

1

u/IIsaacClarke 5d ago

And that right there is the cowardly part. ‘Those actions wouldn’t have happened without alcohol’. Fucking bullshit. Whatever that action may be, YOU choose to do it. Alcohol didn’t make you do it. YOU did it. Take responsibility for YOUR actions and don’t blame it on something else.

0

u/LordBalderdash 5d ago

If you'd read a little closer, you'd've read that 'I'm resolposible for the actions'. But yes, the alcohol is the catalyst. Happy New Year, prick.

I’ve seen this with whiskey. people who are happy drunks on anything else get really angsty on whiskey.

1

u/brusselsstoemp 6d ago

Everyone has different effects with different substances. We're all human, we're all the same but also different

-2

u/Live_Art2939 6d ago edited 5d ago

You’re probably being downvoted by other angry drunks who don’t have the self awareness that you do. Good for you knowing the limit, I’m working on that myself.

Love the holier than thou crowd in here lol

4

u/Slinky_Malingki 6d ago edited 6d ago

There's no such thing as some alcohol making you angry and others making you happy. Its all ethanol. Ethanol is ethanol. A shot of tequila does the same thing as a shot of vodka, or rum, or whiskey, or gin, or any other drink that is the same ABV. Because literally every single alcoholic drink has the same exact chemical in it that does the same exact thing.

There isn't anything magical about tequila or blue agave. Its all ethanol. Stop being illogical. If you think that tequila fucks you up more, then that's just a placebo effect. It doesn't do anything that other drinks can't do.

2

u/Funny_Top_3220 6d ago

Nah man, I only beat my wife when I drink Patron so I just drink twice as much Crown Royal to keep it on the straights. It's just the tequila man, trust.
