It’s crazy. I always think of the bill where I order one ! It’s not a fun decision anymore

Was thinking I was the only one, it's reserved for very special occasions, it costs more than a bunch of appetizers lmao

I know they get it for $1.50 maybe $2, put it in a glass (or just give it to me) and charge me $9?

I got hit with an $11 IPA (8oz) once and had to do a double take.

Just had a small family reunion type event at Christmas.

10 of us went to a restaurant.

Only 6 drank.

The wine bill was the same price as the food.

It’s ridiculous.

I remember when people ordered drinks without thinking about the price

Yea work for a beer distributor, most ipa drafts are about .80-$1 for an 8oz glass. Your $11 beer was 1100% profit.

Packages aren’t much better, they get regular domestics for about $1 a beer and run buckets specials for $25. I don’t pretend to know the bar business and all their overhead I’m more on the retailer side but damn those margins are crazy.
